It was a great place for a family gathering. We took advantage of kayaks, cornhole, and pool table. Everything was clean, grass mowed, and fire pit ready to go. "Some of the silverware had to be re-washed. One of the coffeemaksers had what looked like mildew at the bottom, so we used neither coffeemaker. On the pier were a couple of life jackets and the storage bins doors were wide open. Otherwise, things were excellent and we love to come back."

"We had the whole family here. My wife and I, our three daughters and grandkids for a total of 9 of us. This place was perfect for us. Plenty of rooms for all, and the large kitchen gave us lots of room for all to gather at meal time without tripping over each other. We loved the large yard where the kids could run off their energy and the large deck was a real joy. When we had a question we got answers almost immediately. That was a real bonus. Thanks for making this great home available for us...

"We stayed here for our daughter's graduation from Virginia Tech. It's a beautiful lake front property with everything you could possibly need for a delightful family get away. Plenty of space to relax, listen the the birds and lake, and reconnect with friends and family. It is a 40 minute drive the the Va Tech campus, but was worth it for the space."

"I visited in the fall with some college friends for a game weekend, and had an incredible stay! The house is beautiful and in a great location, walking distance to campus and downtown. The host was extremely helpful and communicative. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Blacksburg for a weekend!"

"Loved this cute little place and so did my teenage children. It’s the perfect getaway for a quiet peaceful stay away from the hustle and bustle. I only have one suggestion, maybe look into a couch in the sitting area so a family can hang out together. Other than that we truly loved this place."

"Great yurt with all the comforts of home. I stay in a look pf vacation rentals and this one is very well equipped! They have everything you could need from a long nose lighter for camp fires to bug spray. There were even snacks waiting for us, stuff to make s'mores and treats for my pup. These people know how to run a rental and it shows with their attention to detail. We loved the hike down to the creek (hike up is a workout with 200ft of gain over .25 miles) and our dog loved all the wide open...

"My wife and I wanted a nice getaway in the mountains and this was a great place to be. It's very secluded and you're truly one with nature. We took a hike down to the river and it was great. I am sure in the spring it would be a wonderful place to fly fish. If you want a getaway PeaceLodge is for you!"
