We had an amazing stay at Acacia! As their page clearly states, there is no on site parking, but the area has an abundance of amazing bars, restaurants, and a farmacia which carries about anything you could imagine all within walking distance, not to mention the beautiful beach! The hotel is truly boutique, and embodied everything we could have hoped for. Betsy at the front desk was kind and accommodating, with the check in/out process being seamless. She provided great recommendations, including Bebo’s restaurant around the corner. The giant hot pool was greatly appreciated for a relaxing dip after a long day. The onsite restaurant, Niche, was fabulous and super convenient for morning coffee (or mimosas) and made for a phenomenal dinner on our first night. I read many reviews and will say - Acacia truly embodies the rich and warm feel of Puerto Rico. The bed was super comfortable with soft, new linens, and we didn’t see one bug while there. The power went out briefly one afternoon, which is quite common on the island regardless of where you stay. The shower was always hot, and the staff were more than accommodating. I truly have not one negative thing to say about our stay. I highly recommend Acacia and am beyond grateful for our amazing stay!

A lovely property and excellent staff. It’s a bit run down and for $250 a night I’d expect a bit more, especially when we paid for a premium oceanfront room and were given a view of the parking lot. When we asked, the receptionist said “if you go onto the balcony and look over the side you can see the ocean.” To me, that’s not oceanfront - but cest la vie.

Great place just a little disappointed in how we were treated when we arrived and when we left. No welcome or goodbyes just “what do you need? Here’s your key. Leaving? Just need your key” that was it. Not sure if we would stay here again. Loved the place and our room but we didn’t feel like we were welcomed there.

The staff helped in any questions. Suggested eating places. Called taxi, kept our room supplies fresh. The hot tub on second level vrry relaxing after long day. Just wish we had a mini fridge in room. Worth the value for us.

Beautiful old 1920’s villa. Loved the decor. Rooms were ok. Bed was comfortable Only complaints are a window was broken/ wouldn’t close completely and screen was broken allowing bugs to get in,, and a lot of dirt in the furniture drawers, like sand and pieces of broken candy.

Very cute boutique hotel less than a block away from a beautiful beach. Easy walking distance to many very good restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff. The pool-sized hot-tub is nice, and their sister hotel (about a block down the street) has an actual pool that Acacia guests can access as well. Would stay again.

When we arrived I was already expecting for the room to be small from the reviews and I prepared myself for the worst. The check in was very easy and we were pleasantly surprised with an upgraded room. We had a nice view of the beach even though the parking lot was in front which was expected. We really enjoyed the pool. The first night we were there the water was shut off between 6pm-8pm. You could tell that this was a reoccurring event by the way the front desk woman acted. We had to take a shower at the sister hotel Wind Chimes down the street which really was snot horrible. Again I read all of the reviews and expected something to happen. That was the only thing negative during our 4 day stay in this hotel. We used our room to sleep and shower. Thank you Acacia for a smooth trip to Puerto Rico.

We regret this review, it seems to be in the wrong place. All our rooms have a bathroom but it is separate from the bedroom, there is no way there would be a sink next to the bed. There are no complaints in your reservation, so we assume that your stay with us was good. We would have liked to receive a real evaluation of our hotel. Upon arrival found live bedbugs in our bed. When we notified the staff they said they would take steps to have them terminated. They would not refund our money which was over $300 Canadian dollars per night. Would not recommend this hotel.

Blood on the sheets, found a dead bed bug, hair in the sink before anyone had used the bathroom. When asked if we could store our luggage, we were told to put it under the stairs - right by the complimentary coffee and water. We didn’t for safety reasons. The room door didn’t lock completely and the sink trickled water while the shower nozzle squirted water in every direction.

Property was a cute boutique but the shower head dripped the entire night and the walls were paper thin that you heard everything. The beds and staff were very nice. Not much around but beach is close by.

Good: * Property is very close a few steps from the beach * The heated pool is nice after a day of walking BAD * blanket was extremely old and cheap quality. You can feel a lot bump on the blankets texture. * Bed was hard. * Bedroom was very small. * Facilities are old. For example the door open with a key. They only have you 1 key for 2 people. And if you loose this key 🔑 you need to pay 150$.

This is a quaint, local hotel. It is charming, and the “hot tub” is really nice, but more like a hot springs than a hot tub. The pool is actually located a block away at a sister hotel. The “ocean view” rooms face the ocean, but actually look out to the large building between the hotel and water. The “sleeps two” rooms are teeny tiny, but there is a spacious dresser to store your clothes. They offer pool towels, but you must check them out and return them to the front desk. Just a minute walk to the beach. Overall, I’d stay there again, but stay in the larger room.

This property was perfect for our family of 5, we stayed in the 2 king bed suite and it was located next to the spa pool. Although the property does not offer parking we had no problem finding parking on the street near the hotel. We did not get a chance to dine in the restaurant located within the hotel but it smelled delicious, and from what I could tell you would need to make a reservation as it was very booked each night. The staff was so friendly and accommodating and I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

We liked being close to the beach and the beautiful hot tub. The staff was extremely helpful. Betsy and the team were great. I forgot the woman’s name that ran the desk on Tuesday night. She gave us an excellent place to eat. All within walking distance. The down side was there is no parking area. So we got a great spot parked and then Uber to see Old San Juan.

This hotel was great and suited our 4-person family's needs perfectly. We hung at the pool which was right outside our room, walked for coffee and lunch, and popped onto the beach which was a stone's throw from the entrance. Great place to stay!

The tv didn't work and they were unable/unwilling to assist. The glass entry door was badly cracked. Upon speaking with the front desk employee we were advised we could cancel our reservation for the remainder of our stay as we were not happy and our money would be refunded. They have refused a refund.

As recorded you were advised that due to security procedures, a new TV would be replaced next day morning. Which was done.Unfortunately you abandoned the premises three hours passed your check in. We are sure you would have enjoy our beautiful boutique hotel, other than that.

Check in time on all the communications from Expedia said 3. Got there early. The door was locked, no one was at the door, and when I finally got in the check in time was 4. They advised us to put our bags under the stairs. I got out on the 3rd floor. No elevator. No hot water, and I have to lift the toilet lid and manually flush the toilet. Beautiful, but not very functional for most.

We really enjoyed our stay at this quaint boutique hotel! Very walkable neighborhood and felt safe Eddy the manager was wonderful & so friendly and very helpful! My only complaint/suggestion is that they should have mini coffee makers in the rooms and maybe a mini fridge-otherwise we loved it and hope to return one day! We also loved the Niche restaurant in the hotel-only wish it was open a bit earlier to get a cocktail-but it was an amazing experience!

No parking. No elevators. Room was small. No fridge, microwave or coffee maker. Our toilet handle wasn’t working. The sink clogged up easily. Floor wasn’t clean (sand)…. No bath rug, no extra towels, saw a small roach!!

We had a great stay. After lots of walking and beaching the giant hot tub was a HUGE plus. We loved the staff; they were so kind and helpful - we arrived just before 1:30 AM and they were still so accommodating of our check in. Great place if you’re on a budget and okay with the bare necessities.

What a lovely little place to stay! The hotel is in such an amazing location that is so close to the airport(9 minutes Uber ride) and it was a few steps to the beach. Felt incredibly safe to walk around even at night. Plenty of restaurants and stores within half a mile. I would definitely stay again if I have a short stay in San Juan.
