Situated in the heart of Princeville, your cozy escape has two bedrooms that look right out over the water, a comfortable and well-appointed living and dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen. There's also a private lanai that looks all the way down the North Shore, and in the winter months you can watch whales and their calves breaching just off shore. If you're able to tear yourself away from the sight of the waves crashing into the shore just outside your windows, you'll find that you're conveniently close to all that the North Shore has to offer at Sealodge G8\. Anini Beach, just 15 minutes away, has calm, clear waters, and is great for snorkeling and swimming. The beautiful golden beaches of Hanalei Bay are also just 15 minutes away, and the water is gentle and shallow, great for swimmers of all ages. The charming Hanalei town is right nearby as well, and has all the boutique shopping and delicious eating you could ever want! Try some ultra-fresh fish at the Hanalei Dolphin, or grab a sweet treat at Wishing Well Shave Ice (if you've never had macadamia ice cream you're missing out!). If you don't mind a longer journey, Tunnels Beach is 30 minutes away, and has some of the best snorkeling on the island, and you'll likely spot some Honu (Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles) too! For those that prefer to stay a little closer to home, the Princeville Shopping Center is only 1.5 miles away, about 5 minutes driving, and has a Foodland grocery store, and plenty of eating out options for casual dining close to home! Happy hour at Tiki Iniki is a great way to pass the afternoon with a cocktail and an appetizer! Of course, if you're after a true staycation, the Sealodge grounds have all you need for a relaxing vacation right on the premises! You can spend the day lounging by the complex pool and soaking up the sun and the views, or you can throw an impromptu barbecue using the community charcoal grills. You don't even need to leave the complex to have a great beach day, either, just hike down to Sealodge Beach, about a 10 minute hike, to enjoy a secluded stretch of paradise with great fishing, great snorkeling, and no crowds! Looking to make your way around the rest of the island? Drive time to the East Side (where the airport is located) is roughly 50 minutes, and to the South Shore is 75 minutes. As with most homes on Kauai, this vacation rental is NOT air conditioned. This is a third-floor condo so you need to be able to go up and down roughly 30 stairs. Additionally, there are stairs inside the unit itself. There are no elevators. Although this home has internet, the speed and reliability cannot be guaranteed due to the remote location and the service being provided by a third-party. We stayed part of our trip in this condo and the other part of our trip right on Poipu beach. We spent the second half of our trip thinking about the views from the Sea Lodge and the North Shore.The condo set up was perfect for us. There were two separate bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen was great, and it was well stocked with everything we needed. The ocean views (and sound of the waves) are the big stunners for this condo. There are multiple areas in the condo with ocean views. The outdoor patio is on the main level (second story) and is very private. There's a sitting area indoors facing the water which was perfect for watching the ocean on rainy afternoons. The condo had everything we needed to prepare meals, and there is a bathtub upstairs (shower on main level) for those who want to soak. The views and location are amazing! Waking up to the sunrise and ocean every morning was awesome! The condo was nicely equipped with beach supplies and a cooler. Appears that some updates have been done to the bathrooms but the condo smelled extremely musty. The carpet needs removed and maybe some laminate or something placed and replacing the kitchen cabinets might help. (We’ve stayed in other condos on the beach and none have been this “musty” smelling) The folding door to the master was broken so it could not be shut so the porch light shined right on the bed all night. They never fail to disappoint. In the perfect location, you don't even need to leave your bed to see the morning sunrise over the lighthouse and ocean. Spectacular beaches on the North Shore...never a crowd, sometimes there were only 5 other couples on the whole beach. We don't even bother going to the South side of the island because the North side is by far more beautiful. G8 was well appointed with linens, towels and kitchen supplies. Endless channels on the tv. Even had beach towels, chairs and umbrella! Loved it!!! ##### Susan L. I was worried when I saw no a/c but amazing breezes with windows open and fans to help push the air around inside. Only neighborhood noise is the roosters at 530 am - and then all day long.
