"We had a lovely weekend stay with our family group of 12, age range 8-77 and three dogs. The communication was excellent prior to our stay and the property was warm, clean and very well equipped. We particularly loved the kitchen with the large table and great food prep/cooking areas. The setting was stunning with brilliant outdoor area for the children and dogs. The access lanes are quite narrow in parts though so need some careful driving.The local area is very nice and we did some exploring...

"Had a great few days with 3 generations of the family. House is large and has almost everything you need. The games table was used a lot and many laughs were had. It’s at the entrance to a caravan site but the area was very quiet. The staff were friendly and didn’t intrude at all. Would stay again if going to that area."

"Lovely place, very comfortable, clean, quiet. Beautiful views. Watch rabbits, hares, pheasants etc crossing the garden while you have breakfast. Stayed on business as an alternative to hotels and pub food. Great location for walking and cycling."

"Our 2nd visit to Woodpecker Cottage and we'll be back again. Gorgeous lodge, fabulous hot tub and spotlessly clean.We walked many miles over the 3 day stay as the area has so many great hikes in close proximity.Everything is catered for, kitchen is really well equipped and the sunrise/ sunset views from the lodge are simply stunning. Thank you Sally and Rob for another excellent stay."
