Nearby, a discovery center just outside Manitowish Waters is perfect for children. The main living area of the home is on the second level, featuring rich wood paneling, abundant natural light, and stunning lake views. A dramatic floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace anchors the living space. Snuggle up on the sofas by the fire or enjoy the view from the ones facing the lake for a relaxing evening. The view of the lake was amazing and it was easy to put the canoes and kayaks into the water to better explore the lake. We saw many loons and a family of swans swim by the cabin. Comfy bed and plenty of room to spread out. Kayaks and peir were perfect for fishing and watching swans. Pan fish were small but I think all the big ones were caught this summer. We were there the end of September so mouse traps in the house but no big deal as we did not leave any food out and did not see any evidence of them. Downstairs nice are for ping pong and TV area. Property has plenty of space and online listing was accurate. Lake was nice and has few others. Saw deer in the front yard multiple times. Mosquitoes were pretty ferocious. It was just the peace we were looking for. The home was spacious, clean, and inviting. We enjoyed being able to walk right out the back door and out to the lake where we were able to watch swans, loons, eagles, and enjoyed trying to catch some fish off the dock. The canoe and kayaks were also put to good use. We enjoyed the amenities that the house provided as well! The views of the lake from the deck and lower level bedrooms were so peaceful and inviting. We enjoyed our coffee and reading books with those views. Would strongly recommend this property for anyone looking to escape to the peace and calmness of the north woods! ##### Liz S. Home was cleaned just prior to our arrival and was very clean. Home is a little quirky, but it was built in the 1960's so that is to be expected and the setting was beautiful. Now the bad part. The fireplace, which I had hoped to use extensively over our 4 day stay in the winter did not work. I tried to get in touch with management but no response after the automated "we will look into it". The worst part was that the walkway leading from the driveway to the home was a solid block of ice and there was no salt or sand to melt the ice or make it less slippery.
