Above and beyond many good things about this hotel, we were welcomed by a free room upgrade to a larger suite. The staff were helpful and friendly. We would suggest that they would add complementary water, tea and coffee to the rooms.
Satisfactory, nor problems really as long as you are just using the room to spend the night. Food in room service is basic but there are a lot of options within 200 meters of the hotel. Very very functional and complete value for money.

We were cautiously optimistic when booking this hotel considering the adverse comments regarding the wedding events that cause controversy at the hotel. We stayed for two nights in May and there were no wedding events being held. That being said we could not have had a more pleasant stay. The reception and staff - wonderful; the facilities - 18th century elegant and superb; the location - a 5 minute walk through an upscale area to the metro. The buffet breakfast made you feel like a Tzar; crystal, silver and wonderfully decorated. Say here - we were wonderfully pleased.

Room is pleasant, clean, would be most beneficial for those staying a few days who want to prepare meals in room. Very convenient to Belorusskaya Train station and metro stop. Because it is not a hotel per se but an apartment, special arrangements must be made to be let in and for check out. There are no options for leaving luggage until check in time. While there is a lift for most of the trip up to the apartment there are steps into the building and one flight of steps from the elevator to the room. Bathroom has a water heater so can shower with hot water even if hot water is not centrally available. Tub is slightly difficult to access--high to step into and 2 levels within tub. Could not get Wi Fi to work despite rebooting modem.
We were pleasantly surprised about this upscale hotel in the business district of Moscow! This is easily a 5-star hotel, with shopping mall and restaurants in the next building, and Metro subway underneath. Although not really at the city center, but Red Square is only a few stops away via #4 line. I would definitely stay in the same hotel if I visit Moscow again in the future.
