READ THE WHOLE LISTING: Please note that someone will be living above you.The property was clean and inviting, the kitchen was nicely stocked, and a bottle of wine was waiting for us. Yes, there is a huge dog, but they are a gentle giant, and even our skittish 4-year-old walked right up to them with no fear. The only problem was that the owner lives right above the space, and the house is very noisy. You can hear every footstep, the dog, a chair moving, etc., and it is loud. Our daughter woke up, and it kept me up, so light sleepers beware.
The stay at this cabin was amazing. AJ was an outstanding host and took care of any needs we had. Also a great source for dining and activities around the Prescott area. Won't stay anywhere else in Prescott!

It is not recommended to rent this cabin. The owner never explains that there is someone on the second floor, the cabin is shared and the description does not explain it, the person walked all night. We had no privacy, the person who is on the property was always watching what we were doing. We couldn't use anything outside like grills, jacuzzi, etc. The children did not have a good time. They also made an extra charge of $100 dlls when we were 6 people (2 adults and 4 children) when in the description of the cabin it says that it is for 7 people. the accommodation was not 100% clean without a doubt I do not recommend this place and I would not return. They also have a big dog that is always hanging around the place.

Misleading
In the listing it did not show that it was a shared space. I could have not seen the info. The owner told us Vrbo did not inform him of us coming to stay for our trip so he did not know we were coming. He had a wolf as a pet that was not disclosed anywhere at all. With having a shared space he was up stairs and we were downstairs (basement) he was up walking around with his tv and or music so loud we could hear it. The noise didn’t stop until midnight which was the night before Christmas so we barley got any sleep that night and ended up leaving a night early because of the lack of sleep and did not want to be kept awake another night.
The owner lives directly above the rental space and made for quite an awkward experience.
He has a large dog that has the run of the property, and neighbors appeared unannounced at all times of the night to tend to the dog.
There is no outdoor space other than some astroturf covered in dog droppings, and a firepit that is non-usable in summer months due to fire restrictions.
The grills were non-functional as was the exhaust fan in the kitchen.
The owner seems to enjoy the revenue generated from renting out part of his home but does not actually want anyone there, we stayed with 3 young children and were told upon leaving that we had "trashed" the property because there were some cheerios left on the kitchen floor and a picture frame was supposedly "crooked".
Perhaps an adult couple would be welcome, but I would definitely avoid if you have children as they are not wanted.
We absolutely loved stay here for the weekend. The owner was very nice to let us know about were we could go in our jeep. The place it self was kept clean and organized which is a must for a nice stay. We would come back in a heart beat.
We were looking for a quiet getaway for New Years, and we found it with AJ. Enjoyed spending the day in Prescott, then back for a nice evening at this roomy, comfy retreat.
We also had the pleasure of meeting the “puppy” - a beautiful, friendly Alaska Malamute.
Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Prescott and looking for a quiet place.
I was staying with my children and was delightfully surprised with the helpful and kind welcome from host and neighbors. It’s spacious and perfect for families with a ton of outdoor spaces to eat or play games. The kids had a blast with AJ & we would love to stay again!
