So lovely. Very well maintained, all seemed like new. Plenty of extra bedding for cold nights and the pellet stove was very effective! Handy having a bedroom and bathroom on the main floor with the kitchen and living space.
I booked this accommodation last minute as me and Friends decided to get out of the hot weather in Phoenix. The whole process was very smooth working with Greg and the cabin was very well-kept and clean. We enjoyed our entire time at the cabin and patio. We had a great time in Prescott and would definitely stay again.
Though we live in Prescott we wanted to get away from the noise and activity that pervades our neighborhood. This house fit the bill perfectly. Relatively remote without being too far from town, very quiet neighborhood, forest access to one side, and simple but sufficient amenities within. Seeing all the wildlife around was a big bonus.
The cabin was very nice and well appointed. They thouggt of everything. Being backed up against the forest was lovely.I didn't realize it was in a residential area and others would be so close though... and the parking and ingress/egress was challenging, especially at night and the 2 days we had two cars.
Our stay was exactly what we were looking for: a quiet, cozy cabin in the pines and mountains of Prescott National Forest. We had relaxing, slow mornings drinking coffee out on the patio watching for wildlife and listening to the birds. We cozied up on the couch and had great family time. The property was very clean, welcoming, and fully stocked with everything we needed! It was also very close to Prescott - a quick 10 or 15 minute drive! We would definitely book to stay here again. Highly recommend!
Overall, the property is as described....the cabin is well maintained and very clean...the bedding and towels were clean and fresh..the kitchen and appliances were updated and clean..deck is partially covered with adequate seating...the cabin is located in a residential setting surrounded by other near by homes...it is a very quiet setting however...the host/owner, Greg, was very prompt in responding to our text inquiries...yes, we would be stay again!! Thanks, Greg and Tawnya..
Great location, you are slightly out of town enough to feel like you are out in the forest but close enough that it is easy to meet up with folks. The overall setup of the place was great and it was nice and cool even though we were getting towards mid 90s during the day. There was only two of us, but definitely think you could comfortably fit another couple. We would stay there again!
Cozy cabin on a quiet street surrounded by a forest and wildlife.
This cabin was wonderful, decorated with unique decor. The pellet burning fire place made a warm, comfortable atmosphere. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The Christmas trees on the main floor and upstairs were beautiful. We hiked in the forest and the weather was amazing. The " Hey Google" was an added plus! We loved our stay!
We loved the location. It is like 10 mins from downtown Prescott, and you are in the forest. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was nice and the grill on the porch worked beautifully. Only thing missing was shampoo and soap for the shower. But everything else was there. We would love to get away again.
The cabin is tucked away at the end of the road and feels very private. It's cozy, but not small, with farmhouse decor and comfy furniture. I was surprised at how well stocked the kitchen was with spices, condiments, utensils, etc.
We enjoyed our morning coffee, a glass of wine and dinners on the deck. We only turned the TV on once!
We had a great, relaxing time (even with a six year old grandson) and are looking forward to coming back soon.
The only thing is the driveway is extremely narrow, and it would be nice to know before hauling a flatbed trailer with a side-by-side on it. I probably spent a total of two and a half to three hours of my trip backing it in so I can pull out later. And at one point I just left the trailer there cuz I didn't want to have to back it again. And there's very little room for error it's very very very narrow.
This is a cute cabin in a pleasant location. Nestled in the mountains, far enough from the city activities but close enough for groceries, restaurants, nightlife.Well appointed kitchen, comfortable beds, beautiful deck space. It needs to be mentioned that there is a colony of bats roosting just above the outdoor deck, and during our rental (August 15 - 18, 2025), there was a significant amount of bat droppings on the deck below their roost. The owner has been made aware of this. My overall rating is lower because of this issue only.
The home is well stocked in all ways from kitchen to bath to pillows and blankets. We were cozy in the home and had lovely forest to look out to. It was just as portrayed in the photos. Greg was excellent to communicate with.
I would just add that the roads in the neighborhood are very steep and winding so inclement weather can make the location tricky. But when weather is good there is no issue.
Enjoyed our stay and saw a Javelina down the road!
Gorgeous cabin with the real cabin feel and modern amenities. The neighborhood is clean and quiet. Cabin was well cleaned and stocked. The deck was the perfect spot to cook and hang out all night plyaing games and chatting. We saw a skunk, an adorbale javelina, lizards, squirrels and the topper, a young doe grazing on our last day. The property backs the forest where you'll find some nice trails. The owners thought of everthing from the coolest light switches to many board games and tiny mini packs of makeup remover pads if needed. We are already planning a return trip in a couple months! Thank you State 48 retreat!
