Went there for my 53rd birthday weekend. Was left a bottle of sparkling wine as a gift from the hotel, which was very sweet of them - an unexpected and very nice touch, as didn't inform them :). Didn't spend too much time in the hotel, really considered it a place to leave stuff, shower, sleep and have breakfast before facing the day. Room was on 4th floor, smallish attic type room, sloping ceiling with velux type windows and a pillar at foot of bed, so no view as such but pleasant enough. Small room safe had been left closed, and request for staff to open it dealt with promptly. Small en-suite shower and toilet, clean and functional. Clean sheets, clean towels, and a slight leak in shower base reported to hotel staff when checking out. Not the height of luxury, and room could do with a lick of paint :), but pretty happy with it. Small fridge in room, as a "mini-bar", but a fridge is handy.
Breakfast was OK, but would've liked it if at least one of the covered hot food buffet containers did not contain meat - three trays of hot foods in each one, with own spoon, but some non-vegetarians don't always think of using separate spoons, and will use one spoon for all three.
No kettle in room (I am British :)), and no smoking area. Most important thing for me before anything in morning is coffee and a cigarette. Unable to take coffee outside from breakfast, so gulped coffee and then sat outside on pavement before returning.
Felt safe around the area, and in hotel.
