We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Rooms were clean, spacious, well-equipped and we lucked out and had a terrace right off our room. The Astronomical Clock was a two minute walk away, and the Charles Bridge was less than ten. We thoroughly recommend the Hotel Dar for a family stay.

Absolutely great location. When wandering about the city it was easy to get lost. All you had to ask is where is the astronomical clock and you were back at the hotel.

Fantastic location and had everything that anyone could need. Two single beds in the room, but they were comfortable enough. Breakfast while not spectacular, provided enough choice to get you set up for the day. Would definitely stay again if visiting Prague and have recommended to others.

Great location
Nice and comfortable. Up to date decoration. As mentioned by others, the shower cubicle is badly designed and small. I had a double room but they only provided one pillow and a single duvet. No yea or coffee maker in room BUT Amazing location that can't be beaten due the price

The hotel was very clean and in a great location. The shower is quite small and check-out is at 10am, where the only two things i wasn't too crazy about. The front alley is somewhat dark with graffiti, looks unsafe but it really is safe. Other then that, i recommend it for an inexpensive hotel.

Week in Prague
The hotel location is perfect, so close to everything. The front desk staff were very helpful with setting up tours and helping you get to places to see and restaurants to eat at. The breakfast included was delicious. This hotel is a great value for cost. Would definitely stay here again when I return to Prague.

The room was clean...but felt like a prison. The staff were nice enough. Hated breakfast since the layout was very confusing and would have preferred some fresh veg options. In terms of location it was great, away from the main crowds and very close to Old Town. Could have done with more windows though

Great location!
Outstanding location. Somewhat noisy area. Breakfast was good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Small, very European style room. Major complaint: very poor wifi.

Great that the hotel is 2 steps from the old town square. But 1. the street looks shabby; 2. the area is pedestrian only, so a lot of walk luggage; 3. several restaurants have live music down the street, so impossible to sleep until mid-night; what’s more, noisy clients and cleaning would last even longer; 4. at 6am, a strong kitchen odor woke us up every morning; 5. the bathroom is tiny and cheap, the shower is just a quarter of round that you’d probably find in the college dorm. The breakfast area is beautiful though.

Very nice small hotel with good wi-fi and nice breakfast. Excellent front desk staff, extremely helpful with directions, car and train reservations and local recommendations. Great location right off Old Town Square. No air conditioning but even in the summer it was fine at night.

City Centre in Prague Old Town.
2 minutes walk from Old Town Square, Staff helpful, sometimes friendly. Rooms very clean and well maintained. Basic rather than luxurious. Room small but adequate. Tiny shower cubicle, with shower head that could not be fixed in position. Excellent breakfast with some variation every day. Quiet building and windows well-sealed against outside noise,

A bit dissapointed
Positives: Front desk lady was very pleasant and helpful. Location was excellent for sightseeing. Negatives: Bed was not very comfortable, No air conditioning or fan, so room was too warm, and location near the bars was great for going there, but not so much when it came time to sleep - it was very noisy until very late. I would not recommend, unless you are a late night partier.

Great location, friendly service.
I very much doubt you'll get a better location for a similar price, the 24 hour receptionists are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is nice with various options and is very clean.

Great location and fabulous staff.
Less than a minutes walk to Old Town Square and a wonderful Christmas market. Less than a 5 minute walk to the Charles Bridge in one direction and Wenceslas Square in another. The hotel staff was amazing!! Friendly and VERY helpful with advice and suggestions on what to do, see and eat. One girl in particular (sadly I did not get her name) really made our stay in Prague wonderful. I can't wait to go back and stat there again!!

Worth staying
Hotel Dar location is perfect, just few steps behind the Astronomical clock tower, within walking distance to most of tourists attractions. At the same time, it is quiet as it is behind the happening streets. Furthermore, there is a very famous restaurant just next door serving nice pork knee etc. Breakfast is acceptable. I wish the WiFi can be more stable. The room is clean and comfortable.

Hidden Gem
Hotel Dar is a great boutique hotel in the heart of Prague. Walk to historic sites, shopping and restaurants. The morning breakfast was surprisingly ample, with a great selection and good! If you need reliable WiFi this might not be a good choice for you as I needed to keep connecting. Perhaps there is a room with a stronger signal? The television service was interrupted during my stay which wasn't too much of a nuisance for me.

Conveniently close to Old Town Square
Slightly hidden from tourist streets, yet steps away from everything one wants to see in central Prague. Friendly staff (Particularly Mila), extensive breakfast, cozy rooms. Not a place "James Bond" would stay in, but one for seasoned travelers looking for a great convenient place to stay. Elevator, wifi (on floor 0), room safe, etc. Two nice restaurants next door, with discount given in one of them.

The hotel was really close to the square with the astronomical clock. Very quick walk to all the local sites. Staff was really friendly always asked if we needed anything when we left the hotel. We had to be at the airport at 4 am. They made us some sandwiches since we would miss breakfast. That was really nice of them.

Location, location - for a low cost
Not easy to find, but once there, a helpful staff, great breakfasts, and easy walking to all the old town sites. One block from the Old Town Square, near Wenceslas Square, and not far from Charles Bridge and the old castle. Close enough to walk to/from the main train station. Large fan in room made for comfort in mid-summer. Good value for the price.
