The intent of this motel conversion to a hip boutique hotel was 100% but the long term execution is not sustainable. A few misses in the room: 1) the motel-style air conditioner hasn’t been cleaned in ages, making it inefficient so I had to pull the housing off and clean the thermostat wire, plus get rid of years worth of coagulated dust, 2) the dark green paint the room is decorated in is not conducive for a hotel room - one bump and there is a white scratch- several were visible from when they hung the tv, 3) the dark walls and low lighting is just ridiculous; clearly a decorator designed these rooms with the color scheme and various accoutrements and not a hotel room expert - there is nowhere sensible to hang clothes and not enough effective hooks in the bathroom and 4) the bed linens and pillows are not in keeping with “boutique” - at least provide two down pillows.
Overall, the location is good and the amenities acceptable. This is for a summer stay only.

"This hotel was conveniently located just outside of Big Sky! Fantastic hot tub, waterside and pool. Breakfast had excellent coffee and a nice selection for a basic breakfast. View of mountains was a lovely bonus."
