#Areas Houses 9, a House in the Azores
Our house is inserted in a beautifull garden, all surrounded by a botanical park with centenary trees. Due to its unique location, in the center of the village of Furnas but surrounded by the park, we may enjoy the sounds of nature and watch a unique rural landscape. The house is a typical Azorean country house, fully renovated and equiped in 2018. It has a sunny main bedroom with a queen size bed, a kitchenette, (equiped), a bathroom with shower and a garden view, a cozy dinning / living room on the ground floor and an upstairs bedroom, with two single beds . The house is located in the village of Furnas, within a 4 minutes walking distance from cafes, fruit shop, groceries, restaurants, bakery, pharmacy and litle supermarkets. The village of Furnas, in São Miguel, Azores, is well known for its thermal waters and hot springs, beautifull gardens and the lake (Lagoa das Furnas). You can walk to or around the lake and watch how the famous "cooked" is cooked in the hot springs. Approximately 5 km is the nearest beach, Ribeira Quente, a small fishing village.

My family and I stayed at the property for 9 nights. We were welcomed by the host who was extremely friendly. She provided us with recommendations on local restaurants and activities. The cottage was clean and stocked with everything we needed. The host had fresh bread and fruit waiting for us on the dining table. The property was amazing. The landscape was like a park. The entire property was well kept and clean. The pool area felt like a resort. The property was located in the middle of town; however, it was very private and secluded. The property is walking distance to restaurants, bars, markets, hot springs and parks. My family had a wonderful time and would stay here again!
