This is a bare bones operation. The building and room were tired; bed was worn out. Pillows were new, but hard lumps. We had to ask for TP and a second towel. There is no AC. Fortunately our room was on the North side so the sun did not come in — it was over 100 degrees (38C) the days we were there.
The guy at the desk was very nice and spoke decent English. The location is great for walking around town, seeing the sights and the Tour de France which came through town when we were there. We drove up into the Pyrenees one day which was easy and fun.

Relaxed and unfussy boutique hotel at the quieter end of Biarritz. A short walk to the beach and very short walk to the lighthouse. Great for access to local bars and restaurants in St Charles. Pool is small but doesn’t get too busy. You can also use the bigger pool in the hotel next door if there’s space. Food is excellent, although the menu is short and doesn’t change much. Staff very friendly and helpful. No complaints!

"Had booked this hotel for a couple of nights. On arrival check in was good and we decided to upgrade to a suite. It was only after this we were told that to use any of the spa facilities it was an extra €25 per person per day for a 2 hour slot. I think that's excessive when paying €140 per night. ..."
