Prather Place, Spacious, Deck And View, Entertaining Basement, Minutes to Marina

"The house is lovely and well suited for a large group. There are a ton of activities in the basement for older kids and adults. They were also toys and books for children in the family room. There is a huge amount of storage space around the house and beds were very comfortable. The views were outstanding. Unfortunately, we could not enjoy the deck due to very hot temperatures. We sat outside one evening. The cushions were a bit worn and so was some of the furniture. The deck needs to be stained. The supplies were reasonable. It would’ve been nice to have a second big skillet for cooking. Several of the pans and cookware were worn and needed to be replaced. It is not an ideal central location to activities.It is a bit further drive to the Cumberland Falls and other activities. It does not have lake access from the property. Nice sized beaches were further away. The smoke detector alarm went off at 2:00 AM. The host did not respond to our call until the next morning. We ended up researching what to do. It gave us guidance on how to clean the device which stopped the alarm from beeping. Everyone including two small children were wKen by the load and piercing alarm. We could not get back to bed for hours. Hostess response was not ideal. No apology for the inconvenience. Despite the beautiful interior of the house and spacious layout with beautiful views , we would not stay there again."

"I can not explain how happy I was with my stay at this cabin. It is perfect for a peaceful one person lake fishing get away which is what I was doing... Lee's Ford marina boat ramp is right around the corner like 6mins down the road. But the cabin is just Beautifully set up and soooo clean. It has all the spices you need...also(none listed are plastic),plates,glasses,bowls,silverware,mugs,Kurieg (with pods)pots,pans,cookie sheet,towels,great AC.! And the front porch has flowers and plants all over and great outdoor so comfortable furniture..not plastic chairs lol ...just a real nice place ! Thanks !!! I WILL BE BACK !!CHRISTOPHER B."

"This place is spotless, well-furnished and a very pleasant place to stay. We did have problems with the temperature inside the house at night. The thermostat looked high-tech and maybe was being controlled by the hosts phone. We could not control the temperature and the last night the thermostat was set on 80 degrees. Other than that, we loved the place."

"Cabins were great, fully stocked with all the essentials. I gave 3 stars for property description; it’s listed as having boat parking. If you have a very small boat maybe 14’ or less but my 21’ bass boat was a challenge trying to enter and exit the driveway due to the large trees. I had to scrape the side of my truck on the cedar tree across the extremely narrow road to get out. I don’t think it should be listed as having boat parking, it’s not a good representation of the parking space. Other than the parking, everything was great!!"
