"I came for the pool"

"Bldg 6 is 1/4 mile from the front desk (I clocked it). No breakfast included. Construction workers outside my (boarded off) glass door at 6:30 AM, meaning I had to keep the blackout curtains closed. View of a dusty construction site. Waited 20 minutes to check in. Both desk personnel were taking reservations on the phone. Maybe have one on the phone and the other attending to the line of six guests waiting to check in?"

"Nice historic hotel with a retro vibe. Great downtown location. Hearty breakfast at neighboring cafe included. Secure off-site parking (block away) with EV chargers available. "

"great valet parking, check in took a bit of time because there were several wedding parties checking in at the same time, love the hotel, great location, easy walking distance to or event wanted to eat in the Palm Lounge for breakfast but they were a bit overwhelmed so we went elsewhere"

"I have stayed here every year for Bloomsday and this year was horrible. I arrived at 4:10 to check in and was told they were behind on getting rooms ready due to being fully booked and would text or call me in about an hour for my room. I finally went back 4 hours later because I hadn’t received a call or text and they said my room just became available. I was very upset because I wanted to relax once I checked in which was supposed to be at 4pm not 8pm. They apologized and that was it. I don’t feel I shouldn’t have to pay for a room I couldn’t even use when I reserved it. Completely disappointed in the management for not seeming to care. I was so exhausted I wanted to cry."

"Everything was clean, the room was great, breakfast was great. The only reason I can’t give it 5 stars is its lack of accessibility. There is no elevator to the second floor and the carpet on the main staircase is a pattern such that the stairs blend in. It would be very easy for someone to miss a stair and take a tumble. Fix those two issues and you would have a raving fan. Not the best place for older guests or those with mobility issues."

"The handle of my shower fell off when I turned the shower on but I was able to make it work. I wasn't able to make the coffee maker work. For the first hour of breakfast the coffee wasn't out yet. There was a microwave and refrigerator in the room which was awesome. The staff were very nice, friendly and helpful."
