The property was fine except the advert said free parking and this was incorrect as we had to pay £5.00 per night. The service at reception was very good. the dining room experience was way below what one expects. The bread bins were empty at breakfast. there were no croissants available and no milk. I believe there was not enough staff to cope with the number of guests. We had an evening meal on our last night and the service was very slow and when our meals did arrive the vegetables were cold and the pies we had were of a very poor standard. we would not use the Dining room again if we were to revisit.

The hotel was good value. The room was clean and tea /coffee making facility nice to have. Bathroom wall under sink was a little dirty but in general everything else was clean. Food was good. Sadly there was no gluten free bread at breakfast on the first day but staff offered us a voucher for free drinks and made sure bread was available the next day. Food at dinner was well cooked although it would have been good to have a larger choice included in the set menu particularly taking allergies into account. It might be better to have a monetary amount included for the evening meal rather than a limited choice. Altogether we were happy with the stay. Staff were very friendly.

The room itself was ok, but at night there are various pipes that were making constant noise due to the heating. This made it very difficult to sleep. The gym and pool area are also run down and tired.

I didn´t like some staff actitudes. I don´t know if was stress or maybe wasnt the day. In general they were very good, but one day my bed was undone and the cleaning service was gone. I called reception and the recepcionist was very kind to help me to make the bed/ changing bedsheets. I think i will repeat the stay, but is just few things that happened I will be aware for next time

Room and most of the hotel very cold and no way of heating it. I noticed area heaters in the breakfast room but only turned on occasionally. The room controls did not help.

So. Where do I begin?! Cleanliness was adequate. Food prices I gotta say is extortionate. Though the food itself is quite nice. Really required a room with a bathtub, which I thought I reserved. So had to change rooms. TV hardly worked. The hotub is meant to b hot, not lukewarm The staff is what saved the hotel and my holiday. Special thanks to. Asia. . What hotel does not have an ATM?! Would I come back? I would not unless things improve.

We checked in on 1/1/24 for our son’s 10th birthday on the 2nd. We specifically chose this hotel for proximity to Gunwarfe Quays and more importantly it had a swimming pool. Unfortunately it closed at 3.30 on arrival day and closed all day on the 2nd. I had even checked before we arrived that it would be open and was assured it would be. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. The staff were lovely especially at breakfast but we probably wouldn’t go back

Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Lovely spa facilities, clean and in good working order. Breakfast was delicious and veggie, vegan and gluten free options available. Room was clean and tidy with adequate facilities. Room cleaning was done daily during our stay. We had a super time staying here given all of this and the location, close to key areas of Portsea Island. Well worth the money we paid and we would stay again.

We have stayed at the hotel before and find it very comfortable and handy for our trip. Disappointed that the pool was only open till 3.30pm on our last day. Very dog friendly. Would like to see bigger beds and fridges in every room.

Booked a family stay for Christmas eve and Christmas day at this hotel because of the leisure facilities. It was closed for the whole time we stayed there, if I knew I probably had cancelled the trip . Staff was very friendly, the only good thing about the hotel. Many of the food in their menu was not available. The breakfast without bacon, beans, hash brown !! Very disappointed!!
