We only stayed one night during a road trip through the highlands, but we liked this lodge! The staff was very friendly, we enjoyed our dinner, and it was lovely to be able to park on site.

Disappointing stay - very little sleep :(
Lovey location and parking, easy check-in and nice room. However due to exceptionally thin walls/floors I got very little sleep, as from around 4am there was constant noise coming from other rooms which I could hear loudly (footsteps/bathroom/doors closing). This unfortunately ruined an otherwise nice room and stay.

The lodge is behind the hotel, rooms are small but comfortable. Location is great with access to the Trotternish peninsula. The food was really really great! The staff helpful and friendly.

The family suite was ideal for us. The connecting rooms and separate bathrooms really helped with our two ‘adult’ children. Very clean and updated. Dinners and breakfast were good value and great choice. Would visit again!

I’d stay here again.
We had an issue checking in, and the manager was quite responsive and genuinely interested in making things right. The Uig lodge is neat and clean, and conveniently located near the ferry terminal.

Not too bad but not too great either
We were checked in before our room was ready, they were still being cleaned. Housekeeping were lovely about it. The rooms are nice, showers are excellent, wifi only worked sometimes and curtains were broken and actually fell down. So it was a bit hot and miss

Nice place to stay in the northern part of Skye (good starting point for hikes), the lodge overlooks Uig and is located in a really peaceful area. The staff were friendly and breakfast was good for a very reasonable price. On the negative side: we requested a twin room, but got a double instead (while I understand this cannot be guaranteed, it would have been nice regardless). Also, breakfast should be included for the rather high price you pay per night.

The location was in a beautiful area of Skye. This would be a memorable place for a honeymoon. The restaurant is excellent and has a wide variety of choices, not to mention awesome dessert choices! The view, the drives, the romance...Love it!

The lodge is located conveniently behind the Uig Hotel. The room and facilities were very clean and quiet. The breakfasts served in the hotel were excellent and the staff catered for my wife’s dietary needs. We dined at the hotel for dinners and the views of the harbour and sunsets were awesome. We used the lodge as our base to explore the Isle of Skye and were not disappointed with our choice. The only complaint was on occasions our internet connection was slow, possibly due to the distance the lodge was located from the hotel. The speed was great in the hotel.

Good value in Skye
We stayed three nights at the Uig Lodge which is behind the Uig Hotel. Note that the hotel is where the check in desk and restaurant are located so you need to walk down the hill to get to the main areas. Parking is also down the hill between the lodge and hotel. This is no big deal when the weather is good, but this is Scotland and this can be unpredictable. We got drenched in one day trying to get to breakfast. Rooms were spacious, but beds a bit small, and bathrooms were ok. For our family of 4, we were required to rent 2 rooms. Heating seemed to turn off at night so we got chilly. Breakfast is not included but don’t pass it up. For 5 pounds, you get an awesome made to order meal. Dinner was ok, but not spectacular. We opted to drive to Portree for dinner (15-20 min drive) on the remaining nights (there is really nothing near by). We would likely stay again...but in the hotel and not lodge.

Right outside Uig, near Fairy Glen. No elevator to the top floor. Large, clean room, but the TV is comparatively small and installed far from the bed. Wasn't working when we turned it on, but staff were quick to rectify this. The bar was also cozy and had some local beers on tap, which was nice. However... the restaurant was bad. If you book a stay here, please eat in Portree - there are so many decently priced, excellent restaurants there with talented chefs. First, we were put at one of the worst tables in the restaurant - right at the entrance to the kitchen and the bathrooms, so wait staff were constantly walking by. We couldn't understand why - the restaurant was not full, and there were plenty of tables by the windows or even booth tables available. The chowder starter was pleasant - so we were excited to tuck into a cozy meal. It all went downhill from there. My partner's seafood pasta felt like a can of goopy, sludgy seafood on pile of overcooked, mushy pasta. My salmon was too salty, the skin was flabby and chewy, and the accompanying veg was also extremely salty. We both decided to eat what we could and leave, because the older couple next to us had sent back their fish and chips three times b/c the fish was undercooked every time. The restaurant ended up only comping the couple the fish dish, but they should've comped the entire meal - they didn't get to eat together, she barely got to eat at all. Breakfast was also abysmal. It all felt like it came out of a tin.

The lodge was amazing, quiet and very warm with nice view over the sea. Easy parking The best is the restaurant which offers amazing dishes ! highly recommend it. great whiskies variety also. Best dinner among all our days in the highlands Wifi was also really good !
