Hotel Medulio

Hotel Medulio

8/10 Good
"Wonderful kind staff. Any time of day (or evening) willing to provide food and sustenance. Room was as advertised with four beds , bath and small balcony with views. In the downside there was a silverfish on the bedding on arrival, not dangerous to humans but not very nice, and the water came out the taps brown and there was no plug for the bath anyway. We improvised but it was brown water bath. It was a great location and enjoyed several walks into the médulas and had a great day out in Ponferrada & swimming in the lake, and enjoyed the mining tunnels at Orellan. The sunsets and sky were lovely from the hotel. The breakfast and evening meals were very good at hotel."

"We arrived early and a young man checked us in but we couldn’t go into our room yet so we were going to Che k out some of the sites. He helped us and gave us maps and info. He was very helpful. He spoke English and Portuguese and he understood that I was trying to use Portuguese so he was patient. Our room was excellent with a king size bed which we had not had in a long time. It was quiet and didn’t transfer motion. The room was very clean and spacious. We used the pool and loved it. Everything was great. We would stay there again."

"Modern hotel. Travelling on motorbikes secure parking is very important to us. We were able to book the hotel garage parking on-site for a fee, you access the garage via an electronic door at street level (note, there is a steep spiral ramp with a camber to access). Small comfortable room with air conditioning. Breakfast options were good. Supermarkets and shops etc very close by. Would recommend."
