Even though the hotel is a bit old dated, the managers do an amazing job in keeping it. They make their best to satisfy the customers’ needs. The hotel is close enough to the city’s historic center, so you can even walk there. Via toaletten kom man till en terass. Zu Fuss, aber auch mit Bus oder Metro, ist man in kurzer Zeit im Zentrum. Das Zimmer ist einfach, aber sauber. Die Besitzer sind sehr hilfsbereit, die Kommunikation jedoch nicht ganz einfach, da sie portugiesisch sprechen und nur wenige Brocken englisch. Mit Hilfe eines Handy-Ubersetzungsapp und mit Händen und Füssen klappt es aber irgendwie trotzdem :-). A wonderful Porto experience. They even folded our washing. They cleaned the room perfectly every day, changed the sheets daily and Juan gave me a bottle of port to enjoy. The hotel is small basic but it has everything you need and it is far enough away from the worst of the 'touristica' troubles of the center. Good restaurants are nearby and we walked easily to the river and sights.
