Hotel was lovely and the staff helpful and friendly. Located right next to Lapa station on the metro made it really easy transport from the airport. A bit of a way out of the centre but easy to get places via a short uber.

Surprisingly good ,clean, well staffed and well run hotel for such a large impersonal looking place.great roof top pool and bar and well equipped gym. Breakfast plentiful with great staff . Comfortable room with some nice touches . Also although the location was out of the centre it was in an interesting neighbourhood with really good access to two metro lines so if you didn’t want want to walk far public transport was fast and easy even in rush hour . Plus easy access to airport and motorway north

From the moment we walked in the hotel, we felt at home. The staff were very welcoming, the reception area smelt lovely and the rooms were spacious, modern and very clean with an excellent bathroom. Rooftop pool was really nice with plenty of space and fresh towels, and the gym very modern with good equipment. The only downside was the cost of spirits at the rooftop bar - €15+ for a gin and tonic seems excessive.

Very comfortable hotel. Great amenities: spa, gym, pool etc. Helpful staff and excellent breakfast. The hotel is at least 20 minutes walk away from the main sites of interest and as the town has many hills and the streets are largely cobbled t not suit everyone. It is frustrating that a 5* hotel doesn’t provide hanging space in the bedroom for long dresses and skirts.

Staff were unfriendly and unhelpful on our arrival. They did not call us to let us know when our room was ready. They did not set up the room for three people despite paying for the extra guest in advance. They seemed unapproachable. However the staff on checkout were very friendly. The cleanliness and room, as well as the pool cannot be faulted.

The hotel was immaculate, it looked like it had been built the day before. The staff were very friendly especially the navigator who contacted us in advance to offer help with recommendations and days out. It was our wedding anniversary and the hotel left us a beautiful message, champagne and treat to celebrate which was very thoughtful. Pool area was brilliant, a little windy at times. Only downside was the breakfast at 30€ each without the quality to match. Likely cost due to champagne being included but wasn’t something we wanted.

We had a great stay at the Renaissance Lapa Hotel. The room was amazing, large and well furnished, with a desk, chair, and a chaise longue. The shower room was always supplied with clean towels, soap, shampoo, etc, and even face flannels. We did not use the AC as it gives us a headache, but were able to leave the window open, and the curtains, despite the bright mornings, and slept very well. The breakfast spread catered for any kind of diet; it was infinite, in theory, and you could eat either very healthily or unhealthily, if you wanted to. We ate at the restaurant once, and the food was deliberately fancy, and tasted incredible. It is really great to have the option not to go far after a day of sightseeing, but for the food to be as good is a real bonus. The rooftop pool is good, although there were never really enough sunbeds for such a large hotel. We may have used it more if there had been. Still, a nice pool, great to cool down in hot weather. The staff throughout are wonderful: friendly, efficient, polite and very very helpful at all times, especially the waiting staff. The hotel is in walking distance to some nice bars and restaurants. It is also 2 minutes from the Metro, and you can get into the city centre in a matter of minutes. All in all, I recommend the hotel, and would love to stay there again.

25 min walk into town, rooftop pool is great! 10 min uber to town if that. Hotel was very clean and easy to navigate, front desk staff were always very helpful. Overall very nice presentation. Only negatives didn’t get a refill of conditioner in shower or milk for coffee but we didn’t spend allot of time in our hotel so didn’t mind as much. Rooms are not very soundproofed either.
