The gentleman who helped us was also very nice. But. But it was definitely in a very depressed area that was quite a walk from the main part of town. And the immediate area was odd, many homes and storefronts boarded up, abandoned, etc. maybe it’s coming back? Not sure, but it’s not there yet. The room is very noisy - close neighbors and thin walls, yes, but mostly it’s the pigeons, seagulls and street noise. And we were on the 3rd floor. I think the advertising on this property is misleading. It’s not a bad place, and maybe for the price, that’s what you get, but I would have liked a bit more honest info prior to booking. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was quite convenient, making it easy to get around and explore the area. The hotel also seems to have been recently remodeled, which was a nice touch. However, the rooms were not very spacious, and the bedding felt quite old and could use an upgrade. One challenge we faced was the absence of an elevator, so carrying luggage up two floors was a bit inconvenient.
