This luxury apartment is the perfect blend of modern amenities and seclusion. Nestled in a secluded spot just across the Douro River; the apartment enjoys a private balcony that offers a scenic river-side view of Porto, and is furnished with all modern amenities. It has two bedrooms, a queen-size bed (both lined in hotel quality linens), built-in wardrobes and private TV. A fully-equipped kitchen with marble counter-tops that opens up to a spacious living room, and a dedicated dining room. Fresh towels, toiletries and a hairdryer are provided at no extra cost. Cleaning and sanitisation will be done on the day of your anticipated arrival. \- Please note that the street where this apartment is located will be blocked for the next two years due to ongoing construction for Porto's new metro line. Enjoy! Guests will have access to the entire home! We are GuestReady, a property manager, and we want to ensure your stay will be as smooth and comfortable as possible. We are available 24/7 should you need any assistance during your stay. Kindly note that this is a personal home so please take good care of it as if it was your own. A hub of the port wine industry, Vila Nova de Gaia is peppered with cellars offering tours and tastings. It’s also known for sandy beaches like Praia da Madalena, and the scenic riverside road Cais de Gaia, with its cafe terraces and expansive views across the Douro. Small restaurants serve grilled fish and seafood in the old fishing village of Afurada, where picturesque tiled houses line narrow streets. The property is easily accessible by public transport and car. Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport is a 20-minute drive from the property. Before your check-in we will send you your check-in options and where to pick the keys. Please note that personal check-in with a concierge has a cost of 10€, pending on availability. There is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking in the property. If our team discovers any evidence that this rule has been breached (e.g., smoke smell, ashes, butts, etc.) we fully reserve the right to charge a €200 EUR smoking fee, at minimum. Please note that for stays longer than 30 nights a fair use policy of the utilities will apply with a limit of 80€ included. It was very spacious. The view was worth it all and it was great to have the balcony to relax on. It is a little walk from sights but it is along the river so you take in the beauty of the area. Great view, fantastic spot on the river. This unit does not have A/C which I didn't notice on the listing as it does only show heating. This was OK since the weather was not real hot but the front bedroom with the windows open you hear periodic loud motorcycles and cars in the middle of the night that were startling at the least. The back bedroom was worse. There are two small dogs that started barking at 5:30 AM just below this 2nd floor unit. Another time they were barking at 2:00 AM. The Primary Bedroom shower did not drain. We let the property manager know about this right away. There was water all in the entire bathroom almost to the wood in the hallway. It was about a 2 minute rush to before the entire bathroom was completely underwater. I'm not talking 15 minute shower. It took 2 days to get this (sort of) fixed and multiple reminders. The washing machine door would fall completely off when you opened it. The listing says washer / dryer. The dryer portion of the unit did not function. This was never fixed. We counted on having a washer and dryer and ended up having to have clothes washed at our next stop in Lisbon at a hotel. The kitchen sink would spray water on the window when you turned it on. This was never fixed. The primary bath toilet flush cover would fall off and also get stuck on. I never mentioned this since we could live with it and the other items were not getting addressed. would not stay in again! ##### RICHARD S. Kein warmwasser Der Besitzer wusste Bescheid, dass es KEIN warmes Wasser gibt, da der Boiler defekt ist. Es wird so getan, als ob es repariert wird und dann wird nach der Hälfte der Zeit gesagt, dass es keine Möglichkeit gibt. So auch von vorliegen Bewertungen ersichtlich! Außerdem sind die Betten total durchgelegen, alles voller Hundehaare und die Waschmaschine funktioniert auch nicht. Die Wohnung sollte gar nicht zur Vermietung angeboten werden, sondern erst mal renoviert werden! ##### Philipp T.
