Room was small but good for a place to sleep. The shower resulted in water all over the bathroom floor which we tried to prevent without success. Otherwise comfortable room. The location is great…walkable from the Sao Benton train station. Our biggest problem was the check-in. We arrived by train from the airport and were at the train station for 2 1/2 hrs trying to get our check-in instructions. I received emails but couldn’t open them or would get an “error message”. We were tired and could not find the information with the building access code and room code. I completed the Guest Page Check-In before leaving home thinking I would receive the information right away. I tried to message the facility via Expedia but didn’t get a response. I tried to open emails from the facility but was getting an error code. We ended up contacting our daughter in Canada and got her to go to our house and log into my iPad to see if she could get the info for us, She was able to open the info and send the building codes to us. We then had trouble locating the building. We finally got into the building with the first code but struggled to open the lockbox for our room. After a 3 hr ordeal, we were almost at the point of looking for another accommodation until we finally got in. The day of arrival is too late to provide check-in details for people who are travelling. I am used to staying at accommodations with self check-in and have never experienced problems. I also couldn’t find check-out ins.

The location is ideal. A quaint neighborhood which we enjoyed. The studio is micro small for two but we managed. The studio has modern amenities and seems newly refurbished. Not much space for cooking or a lot of luggage. In Europe we learnt to travel lightly. There was a smell upon entry to the building which may be caused but a damp basement. May have contributed to my allergies. We’d suggest coffee and toilet paper as a daily courtesy as we couldn’t find nespresso capsules nearby. We stayed 6 nights and when we asked for additional towels were told it’s an additional cost. There was a washing machine but we didn’t see a dryer and nothing dried in the studio.

The location was central in Porto which was nice. Lots to do close by. The room was very small but adequate. The bathroom floor was dirty, the sink was extremely small - to the point that you could not wash your hands without spilling water on the floor. The kitchen area had not been wiped down ( hair on the counter). The front security door was not working when we arrived and after two inquiries it was only fixed on the last day of our 5 night stay. The communication surrounding housekeeping was poor we received 2 rolls of toilet paper and no refreshed towels or bed linen during our stay which was not communicated to us during the booking process. This would be an adequate stay for a single night, however I would avoid this location if you were thinking of a longer stay.

The property is very small but very well kept. Beds are very comfortable.location is excellent 10-15 minutes from everywhere. And wifi was excellent. Check in was not as good. We did not receive any instructions on how to self check-in 24 hrs in advance as stated. I contacted the property was told I would receive the instructions once the room was ready. Requested if we could check in at 3:30 instead of 4 and were told they could not accommodate. We showed up at 5pm at the door and still did not receive instructions. They did not respect 4pm check-in and there is no one at the property to question. I contacted the property through Hotels.com and within minutes the property management sent instructions which were clear. You end up with a lot of stress wondering g what’s going on. We were in for 3 days in Porto, unfortunately it is an old building with lots and lots of noise to the point that you you can’t fall a sleep or your awaken by people yelling at the downstairs bar and all kind of trucks barreling down the street in the middle of the night.

The location was very walkable, and easy to find. We loved the space, small and not a lot of room for luggage, but had everything we needed. There was a sewage smell from bathroom, better ventilation might help. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, thank you for having us!

If you’re coming from Sao Bento, it’s quite a walk up. Much easier to come in across from Church of Saint Ildefonso. The area is filled with tourists but not too noisy at night. All in all good value.

The lovelystay website you need to use to access the apartment if not clear - there are buttons you need to click that are not obvious - which created some delays. However, their support is very helpful. The apartment itself was a long way up hill from the 'closest' station and was a little cramped. But it was very clear and everything was fine. We were on the top floor, which got rather warm and humid with all the heat from the building, so opt for a lower floor if you can!

First, I was asked to communicate off of the platform. Second, I was told I would receive an email prior to the 1600 check in time which I did not receive nor was it on the Hotels.com platform, it was advertised as having access to laundry facilities, it did not. Fourth, the bathroom was dirty and had black mold in the shower. And lastly, the security door was broken, and according to another visitor, they had notified the management to fix it

The property was really centrally located and easy to walk to all of the main places in Porto. The area around the apartment wasn’t the nicest but didn’t feel unsafe at all. The apartment was small but clean and adequate with a kitchen and fridge etc. The gifts were a nice touch. Check in using the lockbox was easy but it took a while to receive the details as I didn’t know we had to provide guest details beforehand. The balcony didn’t have a view but it was nice to have the extra space. The shower was good and the bed was comfy. YouTube and Netflix are available on the tv. The apartment was quite loud and we could hear the neighbours upstairs walking around. The building entrance area didn’t smell great! The host provided helpful details when I asked luggage storage.
