APT - OportoApartments is a charming modernist building from 1936\. The building is a remarkable example of Deco architecture from the 1930s. This residential complex is the result of a rehabilitation project started in 2012 and completed in 2016, which recovered the building's exterior façades and interior spaces, converting them into functional and cozy holiday apartments. The OPO. APT - OportoApartments is located in the emerging Cedofeita area in the center of Porto. It is located in the urban circuit between Baixa do Porto, the historic city center, and Boavista, a modern business center and hotel area. In the neighborhood you can find all kinds of public services (health center, hospital, pharmacy, police) and street shops (supermarkets, restaurants, bakeries, etc.). The stairwell at the accommodations was so narrow and steep that we could not haul our big suitcases up to the main level. We had to leave them in the tiny front foyer and take out items as we needed them. The foyer was shared with other tenants who were gracious enough to not complain as far as we know. There was no handrail or adequate lighting on the steep stairwell- not reassuring when checking in late at night. Alles war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Zur Metro sind es ca. 3 Minuten Fußweg. Schade, dass der Heizstrahler im Bad nicht funktioniert hat und die Eingangstüre zum Haus mehrmals nicht zu öffnen war. Ein aufmerksamer Mitbewohner hat uns dann, nachdem wir wahrscheinlich zu viel Lärm bei den Versuchen die Tür zu öffnen gemacht haben, erlöst. Aber ich denke, diese Mängel können behoben werden.
