Tiny house has everything I needed for a Portland visit with family. A quiet getaway near great restaurants, grocery stores, and yoga studios. Nicely appointed, quieter and more private than a hotel.
Beautiful inside and out, very simple and laid back which is what we wanted. We will most definitely be back and it was such a special trip! Hosts were so welcoming and nice and were always quick with any questions and made the stay very comfortable.
We loved the location! So many wonderful shops and restaurants to walk to. Communication was clear and friendly. The property is a wonderful alternative to a hotel and had everything needed to make our stay pleasant.
A very unique place in a nice quiet neighborhood. The owners have put a lot of love and thought into the unit, and it was incredibly comfortable for the two of us. We were very close to our son’s home and could easily walk to neighborhood stores and restaurants. We highly recommend!
The Tiny House is everything described and more: charming, comfortable, convenient, quirky, clean, considerate and 100% Portland. Roger was a great host and I could not have been happier with my choice to stay there. Would book again in a heartbeat.
We spent 5 unforgettable days in the fabulous Ye Ole Tiny House in the heart of the Alberta Arts District. The space was cozy, creative, quiet and perfectly located-but what truly made it special were the incredible hosts, Roger and Martha Warm, thoughtful, and full of great local tips, they made us feel instantly at home. Between the vibrant art, delicious food, and that magical little house, we're already planning our return.
We had an excellent time at this tiny house (which was actually not very tiny! We were pleased that everything was full-sized and didn’t feel cramped at all). It’s clear that it’s run by real people who put thought & care into their guests’ experiences. The location was quiet & perfect for exploring the nearby neighborhood amenities. I would absolutely stay here again & recommend to anyone looking for a cozy stay in Portland.
This was my second time staying here. I brought my wife this time who kept raving about the cuteness, cleanliness, and comfy house. This is the best place in the area. Looking forward to the next time!
The nicest tiny home we’ve ever stayed in. It must be a Tardis because it felt way more spacious than it should have.
This isn’t the typical, cookie cutter, IKEA styled VRBO. This is a unique, custom space.
Location was amazing!
As always, it was a total pleasure staying in Roger and Martha's tiny house. It's my favorite place to live while in Portland. It's clean, quiet and very comfortable and they are very friendly and responsive hosts. I would recommend it to anyone!
My first time in Portland and it did not disappoint. Staying at ye olde tiny house was such a pleasure. From check in to check out it was picture perfect. Great places to shop and eat, all in walking distance! Thank you, Roger and Martha!
Absolutely loved my stay at this tiny home. It was spacious and comfortable, located in a nice quiet and safe neighborhood. Best of all, it's steps away from some really amazing restaurants! Hosts were amazing and so friendly and stocked the kitchen with amenities like coffee, tea, a couple of packets of oatmeal, and some drinks in the fridge. So generous and welcoming! Can't wait to come back and stay again!
This is my third time staying at yeoletinyhouse and I can’t imagine staying anywhere else when visiting Oregon. The property is clean and welcoming with so many extra special touches!
Great location and BEST HOSTS ever!
See you next year!
It is as good as the reviews say it is!!!! 5 stars for space, cleanliness, location, communicative hosts, etc. I had never been to Portland before and this was the perfect place for all I needed. The location is exceptional, with fabulous restaurants in walking distance, it’s safe & clean with plenty of room to rest, relax and work if necessary. I highly recommend staying in the tiny house - as a lively base for exploration!
Ye old tiny house is perfectly placed for visiting Portland. It is cute, functional, wonderfully quiet, and just steps from bars and restaurants. As a plus sized person I wondered about a tiny house but this is a full size space with every comfort. We will return!
Everything about this space was out-of-this world! So enjoyed just about every inch of the rooms. So much care was taken to make this adorable, whimsy and comfortable.
Would highly recommend. Thank you for the extra care you showed us when we accidently left an article behind.
We recently visited family in Portland and used this adorable spot as our home base. We would highly recommend it to others. It's well appointed, cozy and comfortable and our hosts went the extra mile to ensure we had all the extras like beverages in the fridge and makings for coffee/tea/oatmeal in the mornings. This was also just around the corner from many local shops/restaurants and well located for getting to other parts of the city. Loved our time here and definitely hope to stay again in the future!
Martha's and Roger's little tiny house was comfortable, cozy, and well laid out for a such small space. They thought of little details to make us feel right at home. We arrived to be welcomed to a couple of local beers in the fridge and frosty mugs in the freezer as well as local coffee and tea in the mornings. And we enjoyed the patio table for eating meals with the beautiful weather. Martha was very helpful offering recommendations for places to eat and places to go and we enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend staying here!
This tiny house in a sweet neighborhood is behind the owners’ home. It was plenty spacious for the two of us, fully equipped with coffee and some refrigerated drinks provided to get us started. The amenities were lovely. It was quiet, the bed was comfy, the interior lovingly decorated and furnished. Both Roger and Marsha checked in with us through the website each day and welcomed us after our arrival. The Alberta Arts area is fun and lively by mid day. Plenty of great restaurants to explore. Highly recommend this magicl place for a nice getaway while exploring Portland!
We were very happy with our decision to stay here, giving us a fun taste of what tiny house living could be like. The quirky decor was endlessly fascinating, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was soothing. We kept the space cool at night for sleeping, and then used the heat pump to warm it up quickly in the morning (we're big fans of heat pumps, and have one at home). One minor quibble would be with the space-saving high chairs in the eating area, which were uncomfortable to sit in for any length of time (especially when using the area as a desk while using our laptop).
The location is also very convenient, with a good choice of restaurants nearby, and groceries also groceries available a short walk away.
