Location and food satisfaction!

We had a wonderful time and definitely will come back Rooms were as pictured and breakfast was better than expected, lots of fruits, bread, cheese and more all fresh and delicious! Great location walking distance to the beach and other attractions

Seems recently refurbished and fresh. Pool is a good size with plenty of sun beds in shade or sun. Rooms are a good size with a small balcony. Breakfast was good

With the exception of parking, everything was wonderful. Bruno, the front desk receptionist, was friendly and helpful. He put smiles on our faces!

Cold water machine often didn’t work. Too many steps with luggage. AC in room was often switched off by staff. Even at lowest temperature, room was too hot. No AC in rest of hotel. Did not remove dirty dishes from room nor give shampoo , soap etc regularly. Just seemed to leave a number of random bottles sometimes. Staff not particularly friendly nor helpful . Breakfast was good and pool was nice

Excellent and friendly staff that were very helpful. Beds are firm but all of Europe seems this way. Very convenient walk to the beach and access to a store for drinks and snacks and an ATM. Restaurants walkable as well. Best part was the staff!

Bra. Personalen lÀt mig Àta frukost tidigare nÀr jag skulle passa flyget. Men lite dÄlig stÀdning i rummet. Toan lÀckte och det fanns bara 2 vÀgguttag och dom var vid dörren, inga bredvid sÀmgen . Annars fint hotell, helt ok frukost. Det var vÀldigt lyhört, behövde sova med öronproppar.

La plage au calme

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à l'HÎtel Alcaide ! Notre chambre était spacieuse et propre, et nous avons été trÚs bien accueillies. Bien que le stationnement sur place soit limité et quelque peu difficile en raison du manque d'espace, nous avons facilement trouvé des places à l'extérieur en avril. Le petit-déjeuner sucré-salé servi à cÎté de la piscine était superbe, tout comme les espaces communs tels que le bar et la terrasse à l'étage. L'hÎtel est idéalement situé à quelques minutes à pied de la plage, et il y a plusieurs restaurants à proximité, ce qui est trÚs pratique.

Accueil du rĂ©ceptionniste Bruno agrĂ©able et sympathique qui Ă©tait la seule chose positive. La chambre Ă©tait correcte et confortable mais trĂšs mal exposĂ© cĂŽtĂ© ouest et avec une vue sur un terrain vague dangereux et trĂšs embroussaillĂ© ! Les Ă©quipements sont de moyennes qualitĂ©s et pour la plupart dĂ©fectueux, comme notamment dans notre chambre le pommeau de douche avec un jet d’eau alĂ©atoire et irrĂ©gulier et qui Ă©claboussait dans tout les sens ainsi que le levier du mitigeur d’eau du lavabo qui se dĂ©tachait sans cesse Ă  l’ouverture de l’eau ! Les draps de lit et serviettes de douche pas trĂšs propre et ne sont jamais changer lors du sĂ©jour ainsi que le mĂ©nage et la propretĂ© qui laisse Ă©normĂ©ment Ă  dĂ©sirer ! La piscine Ă©tait trĂšs peu frĂ©quentĂ©s et quasiment jamais nettoyer avec beaucoup de saletĂ© et d’insalubritĂ© en surface ainsi qu’à l’intĂ©rieur. Le petit dĂ©jeuner Ă©tait de moyenne qualitĂ© avec trĂšs peu de choix et la machine Ă  cafĂ© de petite taille et trĂšs souvent prise d’assaut Ă  l’ouverture de la salle de bon matin. La salle du petit dĂ©jeuner est beaucoup trop petite avec beaucoup trop de monde au mĂȘme moment et pour un dĂ©but de saison et dĂ©but de mois de mai plutĂŽt frĂ©quentĂ©s. Je ne recommande absolument pas cet Ă©tablissement et pour un niveau rapport qualitĂ© prix vraiment plutĂŽt mĂ©diocre et dĂ©cevant pour le Portugal !

Fantastic stay. Highly recommended

Absolutely love our 10 day stay at hotel alcaide. Staff where so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing and cleanliness was very good. The only downside was the lack of a fridge in the room but given the opportunity to keep a bottle of wine in the bar cooler and ice was readily available when we needed it.
