"This was my third time staying at the Rod N Reel resort, and each experience had the same outcome. The staff were very professional and demonstrated excellent customer service. The hotel is well maintained, and the rooms are the perfect size and well kept. The overall consistency has made it my #1 hotel in Maryland for my in-state getaways."

"I really like this place. Second time staying here, the night before a charter fishing trip. It’s a cozy independently run hotel that has a super popular outdoor bar in the front. The bar closes at 830 so no worries there with noise. It’s a fun environment to hang out and relax. I only wish there were more tables and chairs away from that area to enjoy the water view (there are a few but they fill up quick) When the bar closes it’s pretty much lights out, so it would be cool to have an area just for hotel guests. The room is clean and comfortable, the pillows are super small for some reason. I would definitely stay here again if I’m in the area."

"Beautiful large property by the water. I wish the pool and area around it was bigger (having all that land around....) . The view from our room was NOT what I expected. Sad to say that it overlooked to an area with working noisy compressors units. I had to keep the blinds close not to see this terrible view.. Staff was helpful when I expressed my disappointment and offered me resort fee waiver for the inconvenience. Thank you! We will come back again but will be more careful with room selection when booking.."

"My family and I had a great stay at this LaQuinta location for a funeral . David was such a great help checking us in. There were lots of shopping and restaurants near by to choose from if needed. The rooms were roomy and clean."

"Arrived for check in & grabbed the keys without checking the room. Upon return (much later that evening/early morning hours) I entered the room to find it wasn’t what I booked. Didn’t have sofa bed as advertised, so I head to the front desk. The lady ignored me ringing the bell, ignored me calling the front desk phone & remained in the room with the camera footage. Eventually she emerged & gave me nothing but a hard time. I informed her there was no where for my children to sleep & showed her my booking. She continually said she couldn’t override to move my room. About 15 minutes later she magically gave me new keys to another room. Place is clean, well kept & local to food/gas, etc. This may have been a one off situation but it was not handled well."

Quality Inn Solomons - Beacon Marina

"Everything was good, standard hotel/motel stuff: little coffee pot, mini-fridge, microwave, tv,a/c - everything worked as expected, furniture, carpeting, lights, bathroom all looked newish and everything was very clean. Desk folk were pleasant, didn’t have much interaction. The big plus is the location, right by a huge marina (if you like looking at boats) and the Calvert Marine Museum- combines natural history and the commercial history of the area, has the Drum Point lighthouse (you can tour) and a boat tour of Patuxent Harbor, plus fossils, river otters, fish. Calvert Cliffs / Flag Pond parks are a 10 minute drive if you want to dig for fossils yourself. So: comfortable place, very reasonably priced, close to all sorts of stuff; definitely worth it."

"This was the perfect getaway for my family and I! The house was so cute and Linda was great at communication and so hospitable. Check in and check out was very easy! It was a relaxing and fun trip!"
