It provides a private tropical paradise where you can relax away the days listening to the waves, watch dolphins, right whales, and sea turtles from the deck, or take long walks in the surf. While you can enjoy privacy at home, you are close enough to walk to beachfront dining, have a cocktail on the inlet, or book a fishing adventure out at sea. Conveniently located about ten miles south of Daytona Beach, you are close enough to enjoy the revelry of the boardwalk then escape back to the peace and quiet of our home. Cars are not allowed on the beach near our property so your view will always be perfect and your sunbathing and sand castles will be safe. Our home is also an ideal base for day trips to some of Florida best destinations like the manatees of Blue Springs, America's oldest city, St. Augustine, Orlando's Disney World, and the Space Center of Cape Canaveral. Our family enjoys renting a pontoon boat on the Halifax River and watching the dolphins swim in our wake. My son's always enjoy a day of deep sea fishing, after which we love cooking the fresh catch on the grill. Book early to get the weeks of your choice. While we do not have cable television, we do have a five smart TVs and Wi-Fi, so everyone can watch their favorite shows from their streaming service subscriptions. Our home is located right on the beach with a line of boulders protecting us from the sea. Storms and high tides occasionally shift the boulders, making access to the beach challenging. The home is located in Wilbur by the Sea which is just south of Daytona Beach. This is a very quiet and quant area with easy access to all of the restaurants and amenities of Daytona, but without the crowds and congestion. The home is tucked away behind a fence and vegetation which makes it very private. The home was clean with plenty of space for us and the kitchen was well equipped (we cook a lot). The entire back of the house is windows so the views of the ocean are great. There is a large deck in the back that overlooks the ocean with steps for direct access to the beach, and a convenient hose to spray off the sand when you return. There are beach chairs for you to use as well as beach toys for the kids. We spent most of our time on the deck and the beach, and were lucky enough to see two rockets launching from Kennedy Space Center right from the back deck. We had a wonderful time once we were able to overlook a few issues. The house is amazing, very comfortable and an awesome large front deck, however it is in serious need of a thorough deep clean. Visible floors, counters, sinks and baths were all clean, however, anything above eye level was covered in thick dust and dirt. One of the beds had dirty sheets. While searching for a misplaced item we had to look under a couple beds and the floor was disgusting…thick dirt, lost items and food. The worst were the roaches, I know it’s Florida but the place was infested. We killed many and found many others belly up. Fortunately we were all able to make the best of it and enjoyed our beach vacation, but I won’t be returning to this property unless I’m assured the cleanliness has been remedied. ##### Tena M. Enjoyed sitting on the deck looking at the ocean. We are definitely looking forward to coming again. Communication was great, if therebwere issues they got right back to us. The back door does stuck, but that is common in most places near the water. There are no complaints what so ever. We were looking for a place where we could go to the beach when we wanted and still be able to get around the area easily. This place fit everything we needed! The beach area in back was never busy despite being a holiday week so we walked the beach almost everyday and spent time relaxing and surfing a little bit. Several times we saw dolphins that like to go up and down the coast and watched storms rolling out to see. We really liked our stay at Joyce and Chad’s place. The view is breathtaking, right on the beach as indicated. Very easy to communicate with the hosts via the app. The place was clean and we had everything we needed in the house. The sunrises are just crazy beautiful.
