I like the bar tender she was nice

Everything was great, except the food which was just okay. We only ate at 1 restaurant and the food seemed prepared in advanced. The steak was good as well as the dessert (cheesecake), everything else was mediocre at best. We took advantage of the kids club to get a few hours to ourselves and we participated in the archery. We would have loved to see the show however it wasn't until 9:30/10 and so we had no services to watch our 5 year old so we had to skip that. The food at the buffet was decent, but could be better. Would have loved to see a simple dessert like ice cream, but I was happy to try a few new things, of course they did have staple items. I was turned off by the butter and cream cream and never used as its all in one big pile and every one dips in. The butter was full of toast crumbs most days and they were often left uncovered by guests living the spreads open to flies etc. Check in was smooth and we received a free tote bag from guest services, not sure if this is the norm for everyone or if it was a gift because it was my birthday weekend, but the tote is beautiful and I love it! The room was clean. We had a lovely view of the beach. We also met a bottle of champagne and a fruit platter in the room which was a lovely touch and a welcome surprise. Again not sure if this is the norm or if they took note of my birthday, I didn't mention it but ID and date of birth were required at time of booking and checking in. Overall the experience was good.

I should have known my experience would be bad, when it took 2.5 hours to get my food from the restaurant at the resort. The facilities were outdated and many of the appliances were rusted. The weight room was small with equipment not maintained. One treadmill had a broken screen and the other had a loose belt. Requests were treated as an inconvenience. It took hours to get towels replaced. I did not have WiFi in my room my entire stay. The first day I notified staff, I was told “all rooms have WiFi, so I must have WiFi”. I came back the next day and was told that IT was not in on the weekend and to come back on Monday. I came back on Monday and was told, they would let IT know I needed assistance. That assistance never came. Air conditioning in my room was not controllable. The temperature never changed. Our toilet would not flush properly. Overall, it was the worst experience on any trip i have ever been on. There were a few nice people, like Jones, but most others could care less.
