Dishes in our kitchenette were cleaned poorly. The kitchen supplies were absolutely terrible. Will never stay here again.

Well the location is nice right on the water and close to shopping, room was a nice size with kitchenette in it for the 3 of us and the price was fine ,off season .you get a continental breakfast which is very nice , but with that being said carpets were needing replacement, painting to be done throughout the place and a bigger tv in room we only had a 32” in a cabinet. Also we arrived at 3:15 pm and were told by a young lady under no certain terms check in is at 4 pm , I was dumbfounded by the comment it was not even busy but I would understand if it was on season cheers

Very nice location, staff are polite and friendly. Good continental breakfast. Magnetic cards to unlock the room doors are finicky and needed to be reactivated many times; if you do one others stop to work. So bring them all at the same time. This was a minor annoyance compared to the excellent services provided at this well located hotel.

Luxuriously Spacious
We booked the room with fireplace and jetted tub but the fireplace didnt work and the front desk person said " i dont know when we asked about it" Not a huge deal as the heat worked well, just a little less ambiance. The rooms are very big and gives them a luxurious feel. Nice big windows with a view of the marina. The pub was closed so we ate in town. The room is very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was really good with a nice variety of eggs, bacon ham, sausage yogurt cereal coffee, juice etc.... Would definetly stay again and recommend it

Mediocre expirience. The fireplace in the suite didnt work. The fan in the bathroom didnt work. The front door sometimes worked. When i went to checkout, the front desk person wasnt there, waited for about 30 minutes, still nobody. The house keeping staff searched the building for the front desk person, they ended up having to call the owner to find them. I ended up having to leave without checking out because i didnt have time to wait for the person at the front desk to show up to their job.

Upon check in I was notified that the pet charge is actually per NIGHT not stay as stated on the Expedia site. The room itself was clean with limited items (no microwave, fridge barely cold even thou turned up), the carpet was disgusting. I understand a “pet room” but this was disgusting. When I mentioned it to the front desk was simply told I know. I paid $300 for 2 nights and this hotel wasn’t worth half that. The outside is green, the windows (beautiful view) were filthy so you didn’t want to look at your view. Sad to see potential with no up keep.

Within an hour of arriving, we decided to stay an extra night. The receptionist advised I book a second night on expedia and come back in the morning to confirm the extra night with the day staff. I did so and was told I needed to first move out of the room and move to a different room because the rate for the new room differed from my previous room. I suggested it would be easier for me to pay the difference. She said that was impossible but assured me our new room would be ready by that afternoon. This type of inflexibility and refusal to meet my seemingly simple request reflects very badly on the service level offered at this property. Moreover, not once was there an apology. Needless to say, we will not book here ever again, nor recommend it to friends.

Someone had a nap on our sheets before our arrival and used the towels! We found also empty cans in the room recycle bin. The front desk changed our room promptly.

Average hotel. It was nice that they packed a breakfast for the people leaving early on the ferry. The coffee in the lobby needs improving or someone made it wrong. It was terrible.

The ‘ocean view’ room we booked looked out onto a walkway with guests passing right by the window. There was no ocean view. The overhead lights flickered and didn’t turn on, so the room was quite dim for our late evening arrival. several outlets didn’t work as we tried to charge our phones. The continental breakfast included has been changed to a brown bag breakfast. The room was clean and beds fairly comfortable but not worth the price.

Property is overpriced; over $850 CAD for 3 days. To enter the room one typically needs to jiggle the key card and it can take a number of attempts. No AC in room with only one upper part of one window that opens. The hotel will provide a small fan upon request. Good news is the room is quite large with a good view of the harbour. Convenient to some limited good dining out options. Easy to get to other towns and sights. Overall, needs a facelift.

We very much appreciated the service provided by Leah at the front desk. She went out of her way to introduce us to the amenities for visitors, available in the area.

Calling this a resort is a massive stretch. Close to ferry, but that is pretty much it. The staff we met were brusk and short with us. The place was very unclean, with multiple stains on the carpets. I would not stay here again.

I've stayed at the Quarterdeck Inn before and travelled to Port Hardy countless times to take the BC ferry to or from Prince Rupert. Compared to many of the other hotels whose names I won't mention, the Quarterdeck is heads and shoulders above them. It is clean, there is no mould smell, and above all it's very quiet. It certainly serves our needs as a travel hotel.

The young girl on check in was lovely. The lady checking us out didn't seem very enthusiastic about being there. Granted - it was early - but sometimes you have to pretend to be cheery when you're the face of the accommodation! My pre-ordered packed breakfast was not prepared with the others (we were heading out on the water taxi) but she helped prepare it quickly so that was appreciated. We had ground floor room and had to have curtains pulled all the time as people walked right past and looked into our room - last time I stayed we had a 3rd or 4th floor room and it was an awesome view. But overall it was ok and in a very convenient location to the Marina.

This place was a great spot to sleep after a long ferry ride. If you have a pet and book on line be sure to call to follow up to make sure you have a pet friendly room. I did not and we almost couldn’t bring our pet to our room. But the lovely staff figured it out and in the end we got a pet friendly room.
