The big lichen-clad branches that were hanging in the bathroom ceiling and the whole tree in the middle of the house were such cool treehouse vibes. We absolutely loved it. The daybed overlooking the Strait was a huge hit and is a very comfortable place to hang out or sleep. The bedrooms/lofts are tight but comfortable and we used them just for sleeping.For a treehouse it is quite spacious. The views were more impressive than we expected and the hosts were responsive and clearly take pride in the space they’ve built. Overall, great stay and we loved the beautiful view from the treehouse. The abundance of pillows and blankets made for curling up with a good book the perfect way to spend the day. Cons. The wood fired hot tub was overrated and a total waste of about 5 hours of work trying to get it warm. The provided firewood needed to be chopped down to make kindling and the expectation to pay for the wood considering the nightly cost of the property seemed a little silly. And the shed of "free kindling" wasnt kindling at all...it was a shed packed full of damp cardboard. Had we known, we'd have brought our own wood. We did enjoy a lovely fire on the bluff despite the wood challenges, it just made it more work than maybe we were anticipating. The house itself was well stocked and all the beds very comfortable. The place has three fire pits, a hot sauna, and the most unusual wood burning hot tub you'll ever experience (highly recommended even though it's a lot of effort to get ready). It's expensive but these views make it worth it. My family also really enjoyed the interior with a cool hammock and two lofts. The warning I'll give here is that it isn't small kid or elderly friendly. The steps are far too narrow and I thought I would fall a few times. One of the lofts also has the opening right next to the bed so if you were to roll out of bed, you could easily fall 10 feet. There were also a few outdoor games (axe throwing, croquet, and corn hole. They were a pleasant surprise. Due to the 4pm checkin and 11am checkout, give yourself at least two nights here to enjoy the amenities. Improvements: \* no small pots to cook with. Given how stocked the kitchen was, this was odd. \* grill should probably be replaced \* consider adding a curtain around the shower so the whole bathroom doesn't get wet. \* please include some fire starters.
