PLEASE NOTE: This is a NO SMOKING -and non 420 friendly property - including the dedicated patio. There are NO provisions for cooking. Keurig, hot water pot, microwave - that's all. Occupants are limited to two total. Undeclared additional guests are charged at $100 per per additional guest per night including children of any age or any type of animal - charged through VRBO as an "additional guest",
There is one security camera focused on the interior portion of the outside entrance door in order to ensure security integrity of the apartment.
Use of the general property is limited to the Porthole's dedicated outside patio and does not include the rest of the grounds. The Park in front of our house offers a convenient place to smoke if needed. This is a basement apartment. The center floor is occupied by the owners and their Puppy. They work at being quiet early morning and evenings.... During the day, however, you will hear footsteps and other sounds from the owners and the dog, "Winnie". If you are planning on coming in very late and sleeping into the day in peace and quiet, one of our other unites would be a better choice.
There is a construction project in the neighborhood extending through Spring of 2026. During this time, parking will occasionally be more of a challenge.
NOW FOR THE GOOD STUFF the apartment is the best three- room "motel suite" in the county - (minus the motel..... we checked). You will love the privacy with the outside covered patio. It's perfect for storing your bicycles. PORTHOLE is great hideaway for a good nights sleep in the King sized bed. Explore the wonders of Port Angeles and the Olympic National Park. The apartment is a short walk to downtown, the Olympic Discovery Trail, two markets, a Starbucks, the Coho Ferry and the Field Performing Arts Center. Your hosts, Amy and Brent, are eager to make sure your stay is the very best. COME AND SEE.

Very lovely place. Clean, great location and very well set-up. We were able to enjoy the griddle which is in the patio. Would stay again. Also, great communication with the hosts. Thank you for the wonderful stay!
This was the perfect place to stay for my visit to PA! The photos didn’t prepare me for how nice the apartment is. Everything I needed was there, and the location was ideal, both because it was close to downtown and my local relatives, and because the setting is gorgeous. The Porthole is a daylight basement apartment, and the house the apartment is in is right on the water, with a park in the strip of land between the front yard of the house and the Sound. I was there during some cold weather, and had things to do that prevented me from spending much time there, but we did have a very clear day one of the days of my stay, and the view was breathtaking. I highly recommend the Porthole to anyone visiting Port Angeles.

Great place to stay to visit Olympic National Park. It was clean ans spacious. Loved that it had a coffee pot and tea kettle and a toaster and microwave. Communication with hosts was great. Perfect place for a couple!!!
The Porthole was the perfect location for our visit to Port Angeles.We loved having the patio area. It was very comfortable and clean with easy walking access to Port Angeles. We would definitely stay there again.

The Porthole property is the perfect getaway in Port Angeles. It is very comfortable, and we appreciated the extra bathroom towels The location is great for downtown access.
My Mom and I had a great stay here! The space is so cozy/private, bed was comfortable, and the outdoor patio was lovely to hang out on and drink coffee on sunny mornings and grill our dinner at night. The hosts were responsive, kind and left lots of good recommendations for the area in a binder. There’s a public park area in front of the house that has great views of Port Angeles, and a zig zag path just steps away that leads to the main downtown area. We will definitely be back soon!
Great place to spend a night or two in Port Angeles. Easy check in, comfortable bed, close to bars and restaurants, and lots of nice thoughtful touches (thanks for the welcome beer). Would definitely stay here again.
This rental was perfect for our stay to visit the National Park. The unit was tastefully decorated and stocked with needed items. It's walking distance from many good restaurants. The binder provided by the hosts is full of good information on dining, activities, and other items.
We enjoyed our stay. Nicely appointed and comfortable. Convenient to downtown Port Angeles and nearby recreation. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay in this adorable home. It is in a great location close to everything. It is cozy, beautiful and stocked with everything you might need. I would definitely recommend this wonderful place.
Our stay here was absolutely amazing. It truly was restful and we’re thankful for the space provided. It’s nearby all the shops, restaurants, and you could walk to the ferry. Nearby great hiking spots as well.
