Pointe-des-Cascades Holidays from £931

I saw droplets of soap residue upon first pee on the floor so was not properly mopped. The hand shower was very weak so I had to use the rain shower and bounce around to not get my hair wet. The toilet had a flush button on the left 30-40 cm from the wall and I chipped my manicure aa my nail got caught in their button. Also there are French doors in the hallway to the washroom for a corner King suite. Turndown service had a menu that included a bath but I had no bathtub so was a tad annoyed after paying $500 Canadian. There is also no pool and I got confused by their "world class fitness centre" --- I would have rather stayed at Fairmont or Germain or Holiday Inn Also there's only one extra pillow in the closet and the pillows were too soft and saggy, I slept with couch cushions. There's also a 2 or 3" mattress soft cover which was worn and slept in, probably put on as the bed was sinking. I was in #512 or #517 and I do not think this is a 5 star hotel. I was very disappointed as I choose based on brand but when I was comparing hotels in the area I found most had pools and jacuzzis so assumed their "world class fitness centre" did. The purpose of my trip was I drove from Toronto and wanted to pick up Montreal/Quebec only goodies (Schwartz, cheese, Fairmont bagels) so wanted to stay in that eve to relax. This is not a 5 star hotel. If you are set on Golden Mile stay elsewhere to get your luxury stay.

The room was absolutely disgusting. The bed sheets were not washed as there was numerous hairs and smears on the pillows sheets and duvet. The couch pillows and chairs were covered in dog fur dirt and crumbs. The bathroom walls glass and tub had stuck on hairs. The floors were covered in crumbs hair and were not mopped or vacuumed. The entire apartment was covered in dust and webs on all the walls light fixtures and shower head. The kitchen had dirty pots and dishware. The air fresheners dont hide the curry smell. We were horrified at the state of the apartment. The apartment did not match our expectations at all. All the furniture was very cheap and falling apart. The bed was tiny and sat on a very short rickety frame almost on the floor, the dust covered night stands were atrocious with light bulbs for lamps. The couch was caved in the middle of the cushions. We had to lay down towels to sit on the couch because of how disgusting it was. The first night of check in we had to stay up till 3am to do the sheets and towels in the laundry and wash the bathroom because we could not use the dirty space. We tried to contact the management to fix the issues but there was no front desk and the only way to get in touch was to call their call center which did nothing to help us. When we finally reached the owners they disregarded our complaints and sent their cleaner who claimed the room was up to their "standards"! This place is a joke and a scam! Avoid! I want my money back!

Beautiful and stylish space located in an ideal location in Old Montreal on the edge of the Port. Delicious food, stunning architecture and art are steps away. (Ps - try the “Moite-Moite” at the Pigeon cafe downstairs!)
