Hotellet var troligen stängt på grund av epidemin

I tried to send this mail to Hotels.com: Our cruise with MSC March 14 2020 was cancelled the day before. After the cruise we had planned to go to St. Lucia by a ferry the 28 March. This traffic stopped on March 17 2020 so it was not possible to go to Guadeloupe or Castries. The restrictions on Martinique made it impossible to stay longer. We were in a very difficult situation and we had nowhere to stay. Hotel S t John must have been closed. Hotels.com must have known that. Our hotel in F de F closed on Saturday 21 2020 so we went back to Sweden at the last minute. Unfortunately Hotels.com demanded payment in advance. I want to get back the money I had paid.

Il mio soggiorno al Saint John Perse è stato molto breve sono arrivata la sera e ripartita al mattino, Hotel perfetto se si deve imbarcare al terminal MSC Crociere che dista nemmeno 5 min a piedi, per il resto colazione piacevole, staff competente e disponibile, camera discretamente pulita, complessivamente voto 3 su 5 ;) Spero di essere stata utile G.

Great seaport view and perfect location to visit the city. Room relatively spacious, fairly clean considering that it is an old building. Access to the gallery is shared (my chair was taken by others at some point). My corner unit was receiving noise and fume from street cars and trucks (sometimes there was a strong CO2 smell in the bathroom). Breakfast was included, and the buffet was good but not extravagant.

Great access to ferry and cruise terminals.

Our stay was overall good with no complaints. This is a budget hotel that is a little dated. That being said, the service is wonderful. The very nice breakfast with coffee of your choice, croissants, fresh juice, cold cuts etc. was a delight and a convenience to get us going early in the mornings. It is a great location for walking to the ferry or cruise terminal.

Hotel as base for seeing Memorial ACTe

One of few hotels in downtown P-a-P, so not much choice if one wants/needs to be in that area. Room was clean, a bit worn and tiny, with even tinier bath. BUT within walking distance of Memorial ACTe (Museum on Caribbean slave trade) that is a must-see for anyone interested in history. Fantastic modern building on waterfront with terrific galleries. Audio guides in multiple languages.

Hôtel de transition pour prendre le bateau. Un peu loin car avec des valises il vaut mieux prendre un taxi. Pour une nuit c’est acceptable. En revanche très bel accueil et un Mr Stan super sympathique. Le petit déjeuner est bien, il y a du pain frais et viennoiseries.

Lage Lage Lage Hotel liegt halt direkt am Hafen Charmant, aber beste Zeiten längst vorbei.... Charmanter Empfang und saubere Zimmer... Spricht man Französisch funktioniert eh alles besser Einziger Kritikpunkt, das Hotel hatte den gebuchten Pick-up am Flughafen verpennt.... Der charmante Portier hat sich dafür entschuldigt....Konnte nichts dafür…

Hotel is in a sketchy part of town. Rooms are cramped, beds were small. Everything closed early in town, hard to get food or resources. Ants in the bathroom. People were moving big furniture all night long, noisy. Would not go back here.

After reading reviews I couldn’t wait to make my own judgement. I thought perhaps some were being too hard on the place. Those who said stay only overnight if you’re catching the ferry or plane are on point. Not a place to stay if like me you wanted to relax and be a tourist for 3 days. My first impression was depressing. So much so that I booked a night at a more comfortable establishment in a tourist district- knowing that I would not get a refund at St Johns Perse. Beds were uncomfortable , corridor and room had a funny smell. Shared balcony obviously hadn’t been swept in a while. City shuts down on Saturday afternoon into Sunday and looks like a ghost town. Breakfast was good though. Even better than at the other hotel I booked. I will only stay there again if I absolutely had no other choice.

In the heart of downtown

The location is great, walkable to the Maritime Port, the main shopping area, and various bus stations. Front desk staff has been very helpful, especially Stan.
