On arrival there was a big roach walking across the floor in the lobby. small roaches were also spotted in the corridor and room. The rooms were clean and comfortable. However the blanket on the bed had two holes. The bathroom needs hooks and there were none to hang towels. The toilet bowl cover needed a repaint. The face basin faucet was loose and needs to be repaired or replaces.
Staff were Ok not particularly conversant in a hospitable way, but polite and responsive. We were told no meals one day as chef was "sick" (didn't need to know the reason). So ate out for the remainder of stay.
AC needs to be cleaned. Did not use the swim up bar but notice the mold spots on cushions by the pool as passed by.
Parking wasn't easy as many times the lot was full and was advised not to park in the adjacent area. If its operated by the same owners then it should be allowed in a controlled way. Guest are customers and should be accommodated not inconvenienced.

I traveled with my friend Hector to Trinidad for a family event and we both agreed that our stay at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Trincity Trinidad Airport by IHG was one of the high lights of our trip. First and foremost was the absolutely stellar staff at the hotel, it was clear that the care and comfort of guests is a priority, In particular NIcole at the front desk/reception was outstanding, she was extraordinarily professional, knowledgeable, warm and attentive. She was was a treasure trove of information about local sights and eateries making our stay delightful. The breakfast buffet was really delicious offering familiar favorite breakfast foods, while also including some really enjoyable local fare, at least 3 or 4 different ones each day (the sauteed tuna was my favorite, along with the cooked vegetable dishes). Stacy was one of the staff members who hosted us at breakfast, and she was fantastic! Along with her colleagues, constantly refilling the serving dishes and making sure everything was perfect! Our room was large, with comfortable beds and pillows, as well as many details that added to our comfort: plenty of storage, desk, a designated area for suitcases, easy chair, desk chair, loads of lighting options. The housekeeping staff was solicitous and very visible in case we needed anything. There was also security very visible at all times in the lobby. The pool area was impeccably kept and beautiful. We highly recommend this hotel!
