Alternatively, spend a day exploring nearby Plymouth (7 miles), home to The Box, an exciting museum, art gallery and archive. Visit the historic Barbican including the Elizabethan House and the Mayflower Steps, Plymouth Hoe and the Royal William Yard, a cosmopolitan dining area with views over the River Tamar. Other attractions nearby include Saltram House (6 miles), Cotehele (22.5 miles), and Buckland Abbey (15 miles).

Down on the ground floor is the beautiful king-size bedroom, which has a set of patio doors that lead to the garden. Also on this floor sits a fresh and contemporary bathroom, where you can enjoy a soak in the tub after a day exploring the coast path or enjoy a refreshing shower.
