Find hotels in Pleugriffet from £40

The best area to stay in Pleugriffet is generally the rural countryside surrounding the village centre.

Pleugriffet itself is a small, quiet village in the heart of Brittany, not a bustling town with distinct neighbourhoods. The area is characterised by rolling green fields, wooded areas, and traditional Breton farmhouses. The village centre has a church, a small shop, and a bar/restaurant, but the main appeal lies in the peaceful, natural surroundings.

For couples seeking a peaceful escape, staying in a gîte or a renovated farmhouse in the countryside just outside the village offers privacy and a chance to unwind. You'll find properties with gardens, often with views of the fields, great for quiet evenings. It's an excellent base for exploring the local walking and cycling routes or simply enjoying the tranquil environment.

Families will also find the rural setting appealing. Many properties offer ample space for children to play outdoors, and the lack of busy roads means a more relaxed holiday.

The best time to visit Pleugriffet is during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) months, when the weather is pleasant and the region is less crowded.

For those looking for comfortable temperatures for exploring the Breton countryside and its charming villages, late spring is ideal. The average temperatures range from 15°C to 20°C, great for cycling along the Nantes-Brest Canal or visiting local markets. You'll find the gardens and landscapes are at their most colourful during this period.

Couples seeking a relaxed getaway will appreciate the tranquillity of autumn. The weather remains mild, typically between 12°C and 18°C, and the changing foliage provides beautiful scenery. This is an excellent time for enjoying longer walks, visiting the local cider farms, or simply unwinding in a quiet gîte. There are fewer tourists, allowing for a more intimate experience of the region.

While summer (July and August) offers the warmest weather, with temperatures often reaching 25°C, it's also the busiest time, especially with French families on holiday.
