Easy drive to the Tulip Festival in Pella, but also close to Des Moines. Very clean and comfortable.

Good location for activities at the state fairgrounds
The house was in a nice nieghborhood and easy to find. The house was as described and reasonably priced. It could have been a little cleaner and the towels and bedding were not great quality. Just hand soap in the bathrooms and one hair dryer. The master bath toilet needs a reset ( loose and small leak) and the washing machine needs to be cleaned.

The only thing i didnt like was the fact i never got the code to the key lock box and we had to contact the owner multiple times so we could even get into the house. And that the master shower was clogged and gross.

Girls weekend
We met up with family for a fun girls weekend. We enjoyed Big Creek State Park and the outlet mall in Altoona. The house met our needs and we didn't have any issues. Beds were comfortable. House was clean and decorate nicely. Kitchen was well stocked which we used twice a day to cook meals. I am glad in the instructions I received prior to the trip that it stated the expectation is to wash, dry, and put away all towels prior to checkout. For this reason, we brought all of our own bath and kitchen towels from home. I had no interest in getting up extra early to do laundry before our 7AM departure. I have stayed in many VRBO rentals and have never had that as a checkout expectation. I would stay here again; I would just bring my own towels. Thanks for the use of your lovely home!

It was very clean (except the coffee pot), and had all dishes, towels, we needed. We were there for my nephew's wedding, and this was much more comfortable then staying in a hotel. We don't like to eat out much since I do have some food restrictions, so it was nice to have a kitchen to cook in. The kitchen was a bit dark. I don't know if the light in the kitchen was just needing light bulbs replaced, but a small complaint. The coffee pot did have a moldy filter in it, so we did throw that away, but the coffee pot may need a good deep clean before anyone uses it. It was a little inconvenient to have to get up extra early to make sure the towels were cleaned, dry, and put away before we left by 11am. My husband cooked breakfast, and wanted a towel to be able to dry the dishes he needed to wash, and we still wanted hand towels in the restrooms to dry our hands after washing them. So we had to get up really early to eat breakfast, wash dishes, don't have time to run the dishwasher in the morning and put dishes away, make sure everyone was ready to go, then wash and dry towels. I've stayed in many homes through VRBO, and the most I've ever had to do is make sure that items were at least in the washing machine, and dishes were in the dishwasher and cleaned. I left hoping I did everything right on the check out list. Still gave a 5 star rating

We were in town for a 6 day cattle show. The house was clean and well stocked. Being able to park in the garage was nice for the mornings that it rained. The beds were comfortable. Communication was quick and easy. Would definitely recommend this house.

We loved everything about the property. The house was very clean and orderly I was just disappointed that we didn’t have the grill when it was in the advertisement and even showed pictures. My mom is living alone in Altoona and I told her my husband would grill steaks, hamburgers and pork chops while we were there so everything we brought we couldn’t use and couldn’t get a hold of owner. That said he was very responsive in previous messages and the kitchen was well equipped as we adjusted our menu 😊. It was such a nice visit and allowed us opportunity to visit her!

Comfortable hub for activities.
This house is comfortable and nicely set up. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. Andrew worked with us to accommodate schedule changes. However, the ceiling light in the master bedroom did not work and could not be fixed during the three days of our stay. There were no lamps in any of the bedrooms, so there was no way to compensate for the lack of a ceiling light. Also, I have stayed literally all over the world using VRBO and have not had the check out requirement that Andrew required. He requires that all dishes be washed and put up and that all towels be washed and put up.

Everything was beautifully done. We did have A problem both with the washer and dryer. The washer kept giving us messages and took several tries to get to run. The dryer took several tries to get it to work and a long time today. We loved the house.

This is a fantastic location to our daughter only 9 houses away. We booked with daughters in-laws. The only down fall was that there are two double beds and one queen, coming from a king bed to full is hard. It would be nice if all beds were queen. But we solved the issue, my husband and I each slept in a double and the in-laws had the queen. It was great that there was 2 1/2 bathrooms. Nicely stocked Kitchen with lots of storage bowls. It would be nice if there was a deck off the kitchen sliding door. Plus we couldn't find any lawn furniture to sit outside had to use the kitchen chairs. We will most likely be staying here yearly to celebrate our grandson's birthday.

The property is nice & conveniently located to Des Moines. However, there are no lamps in any of the rooms only ceiling fans with harsh lighting. Also, owner requires all towels to be washed and dried before leaving. This is difficult when leaving on a time schedule to shower, clean kitchen, then launder items before getting on the road. This really is not reasonable.. With the fees charged, this should be accommodated by owner. Also, yard was unkempt, filter on fridge needed changing. Also, no iron, no hair dryers. Overall, property was clean except for air grates, window sills. Beds were comfortable. Shower heads were good but, master hand-held shower was awkward to manage without spraying water everywhere. Property owner was quick to answer questions. Much appreciated.

This was our first VRBO experience. My husband and I and 4 kids ages 6-11 enjoyed staying at this home. Nothing fancy, felt like staying with a friend or relative. It was clean enough with just a few details where things had been left behind by other people under furniture etc. Very conveniently near Adventureland. Neighbors were kind, one warned us not to let our children approach their dogs in their backyard as they can spook. Neighborhood was quiet.

We came into town on Thursday after the land hurricane came through on Monday. Andrew did a great job of communicate the power situation to us and doing his best to accommodate us. He did refund us a nights stay seeing as the power was still not on and we ended up somewhere else for the night. We were lucky to have other family in town who had space that evening for us. Power was restored early Friday morning and as soon as he knew he reached out to let us know. Communication was done well through the time and he was looking out for us, and obviously desired to give us a good experience. House was great and in good condition along with a great neighborhood!
