Check in was easy. Staff were helpful. The room was quite nice and the bathroom was clean and updated, with a flashy lovely anti fog mirror. The bed was comfortable (very high) but the pillows were all over-stuffed- not a selection of flatter and fluffier. The heater/cooler is the old fashioned type that rumbles, loud+++. So between the ridiculous pillows and the rumble all night, sleep was minimal. The TV was beyond frustrating - two different remotes that each do their own thing, they subscibe to a basic Eastlink package, so you have about 8 channels that I have never seen before, nothing of interest. Breakfast was minimal- but truly I just grabbed a banana and ran so I didn't have time to really look. They have vending machines that have astronomical prices for drinks and you are not walking distance to a store or restaurant. These things would not be the end of the world if the cost for a room was reasonable . But for nearly $300 for a room just because you are in the Halifax area- I expect more

Great location, large comfortable room, quiet air conditioner, lots of hot water and pillows. Morning coffee was weak, breakfast was okay, not remarkable.

Convenient, modern and easy to get to. Very clean and the staff are great! Highly recommend

They were using grinders and jack hammers above my room that that started at 8am Friday morning.

Room was clean, bed comfortable - sure it's an older building (not as many outlets for plugging in devices, but certainly all we needed for an overnight stay). Continental breakfast was lacking in protein, but what we saved in hotel cost, one can go to a restaurant for a hot breakfast. Coffee was good! Parking was available.
