My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Mountain View Motel & Cottages in Pleasant Bay. The location is fantastic, offering beautiful views and easy access to Cape Breton Highlands National Park, hiking trails, whale watching, and the scenic Cabot Trail. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. We appreciated the quiet atmosphere and the peaceful surroundings after a day of exploring. The staff 👍 were friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. There was very little to dislike. The property is more rustic than a modern hotel, but that fits perfectly with the charm and character of Pleasant Bay. Guests looking for a luxury resort experience should keep that in mind.

You have a lovely property close to nature, but if you need convenience for food, you’d be better off staying in Chéticamp’s main area. It’s about 43 kilometres away, and we arrived around 7:15 p.m. Unfortunately, they stopped taking dining orders by then, so I had to drive back and forth to Chéticamp to have dinner with my family. It was quite a hassle. If you have a family, I’d advise against staying here. Next time, I’ll stay in Chéticamp, where there are many great seafood restaurants. Besides that, the property itself was quite nice; I’ll definitely give them a thumbs up.
