The lobby is a museum with history about the hotel. Really interesting. The service is 10/10.

I love that the hotel was in the center of everything like the metro, restaurants, shops, & parks. PROS - Walkable to places Nice size - the living area is spacious and the bedroom has lots of compartments/nice bed Had a fridge Housekeeping came almost everyday unless you put a sign out on the door. They restocked on towels, toilet paper & made your bed. Someone was always available at the front desk and through WhatsApp. Responses were quick and also spoke English. If I ever needed something I could message with no problem. There was security around the clock to let you in and out of the building. Free breakfast like cereal, muffins, yogurt, etc. were available in the morning. Filtered water was refilled consistently and available via rooftop. Close to the airport. CONS - Shower floor was a little rusty but not terrible. The water worked well and got really hot so I had no complaints. There is not enough light in the bathroom. Way too dim, especially if you need to apply makeup or anything to do with the face. The bathroom was small, but I was alone so it didn’t bother me. There is no elevator. Security is nice enough to bring your bags up when you first check in, but checking out may be up to you. No microwave in room No AC, but you are provided fans Noisy - you can hear everything Overall, I enjoyed my experience. The hotel had a beautiful design with very nice staff. I felt very safe as a black woman solo traveling. Would stay again!

Great location and literally right next to the plaza (the “Zocalo”) where a good number of tourist spots are at. The Zocalo/Tenochitlan metro station and Av Madero is a good 3 to 5mins walk away. Palacio de Bellas artes is about 12-15 mins walk. Convenience stores and restaurants abound around the area. Staff were friendly and nice, and breakfast food was good with a great view of the Cathedral. Breakfast was mostly coffee, fruit juice, freshly baked pastries, bacon, sausage, fresh fruits, yogurt, chilaquiles, and an omelet station, My only gripe was that the small part of av 5 de mayo going to the hotel could be closed off for any Government security reason so being picked up or dropped off by tours or uber will have to be done away from the hotel lobby. Our experience was that we had to be picked up a min walk away at the junction of Calle de Palma and 5 de mayo for tours and uber; another time a protest blocked roads to the Zocalo that we had to be dropped off at Hidalgo park. Overall a great hotel to stay at and I highly recommend!
