"Hotel had only 25 to 30 guests out of a capacity of 200 plus. Potentially a lovely place- near good walks and beach, nice grounds and rooms and good gym. But.....
The spa which they are still advertising is unusuable
€26 to play tennis !!
The only vegetarian option at dinner, mushroom ravioli, contained meat !
No vegetarian option at all on 2nd night so we had to eat pasta and tomato sauce
Laura was the only saviour as she put on a yoga class and tried to enthuse the small number of guests....

10/10 Excellent
"Wonderful thank you Marian you made the vacation very special."
"Fantastic hotel, large choice of food, pools were great for lounging or swimming. Drinks were very reasonable and options of different places to relax in. "
"For me, this is a great location: a few minutes walk to the beach, and there is a nice supermarket (SPAR) almost on the property, and a couple more 5 and 10 minutes away walking distance (a bigger SPAR and a Hipodino). There are a lot of little shops that sell everything, a pharmacy, and plenty of restaurants. Although there will always be a few noisy people here and there no matter where you go, I've been to Bahia Calma Beach three times now, and I've never had a problem with noise, and in general it's very peaceful. And the staff is always very friendly and helpful! "
"This hotel is nice but definitely a work in progress. The staff are friendly but very limited as at times there were empty bottles and glasses left on the side for hours waiting to be collected.
At the time of our visited the gym and sauna were under construction.
In my opinion the safety railings should be much higher than where they currently are at waist level"
"Myself and partner had a wonderful stay and can't really complain about anything, the rooms are basic but spacious (bedroom, living room and bathroom) clean with a well maintained. The food choice was excellent, fresh and with plenty of variety. The hotel is just a short walk to the beach, and plenty of shops bars and restaurants.. although Costa Calma is more on the quite side, there are still plenty of activities around to do and see. "
"We had a wonderful week at Casa Volz. From there it is very easy by car to reach lots of rambling paths inside the island as well as many lovely sandy beaches. The house is very clean and fully equipped with anything you may need. The owner is very responsive and helpful. We highly recommend Casa Volz!Nous avons passe une tres belle semaine a la Casa Volz - une location tres bien situee, tres propre et super bien equipee. Nous la recommandons chaleureusement."
"The 2 night stay was spoiled by dreadful attitude of reception staff. First reception presented me with bill & room was already paid for. I asked if room had clear view to beach, receptionist said’How do I know am I supposed to go into every room and check, you need to look!’ I enquired 4 times about shuttle to airport but receptionist on next shift didn’t speak English! I was then informed shuttle has to be booked 2 days in advance by exceptionally rude receptionist. Kettle was broken and took 3 calls to get replacement. I travel a lot for work & pleasure & I don’t think I’ve ever experienced such ‘attitude’. Thalassotherapy pool was in very poor repair & pool was one of the reasons I’d chosen hotel. Bar & restaurant staff excellent. I don’t usually give reviews but reception were so rude, I was rather upset, I feel other travellers should be warned!"
