With western exposures this totally updated home has a heated pool and spa, new kitchen, and incredible outdoor entertaining spaces. A large island in the kitchen for entertaining all ,opens into the great room with views of the pool and Bocilla Lagoon. The great room has a large screen tv and 2 pull out sofa beds ( twin and queen). The guest room has a bunk bed ( queen and twin) and a seperate twin. Master bedroom has a king bed and ensuite bath.Located on the ground level is a new laundry room. Swimming pool and spa (salt water) are heated and a weekly pool service is included. Located off the pool area is a large outdoor kitchen with grill. An outdoor shower is also located near the pool area! This home is pet friendly with prior approval. We will accept ONE small to medium dog only. Have you vacationed on the island before? Palm Island a.k.a. Don Pedro Island, is a barrier island 7 miles long between Sarasota and Ft. Myers on the Gulf coast with sugar-sand beaches, beautiful harbors and lagoons, great fishing and shelling only accessible by a short 10 minute car ferry or private boat. Our beaches are some of the most pristine and quiet in all of coastal Florida. There are no high rises blocking your Gulf views, unpaved sandy roads, and a relaxed "Old Florida" atmosphere. There is one restaurant called the Rum Bay that serves lunch and dinner. The car ferry runs continually from 6:30 am until 10:00 pm from Sunday through Thursday and until 11:00 pm Friday and 12:00 midnight Saturday. You drive your car onto the ferry and then directly to your vacation rental home. It's a very special place to vacation. We have kayak rentals and golf cart rentals for your use during your vacation. All of our properties on Palm Island require a ferry ride to get there. One round trip on the ferry for car and passengers costs $55\. The alternative is to purchase a book of 10 round trips for $380, or $38 per round trip. For more iPet Policy: This home is Pet Friendly home. This means that ONE dog is permitted to stay at the rental. No cats are permitted in any of our properties. Well stocked kitchen. Lots of seating around pool area and bar area and tables as well. Nice beach towels. Has a regular coffee pot not a Kerik. First time using VRBO. Went well everything went as presented. Pool was nice. There is a wooded lot on one side and a home on the other side that kinda of takes away your privacy around the pool area. Loved the shower head in the Master bath! I'm gonna get me one. The 2nd bedroom had several beds in it but we did not use or need for this trip. We were there about a week for the hurricane and dodged a bullit on that. Hope the home is still beautiful as it was. Long deck off the back as well if you wanted to fish off dock. Rented golf cart from the number on the information and it was at the house waiting us when we arrived. However, for payment need cash or venmo. Fortunately my boyfriend was able to set up a venmo account and paid. It was $350 for the week Sunday thru Saturday. Just a short ride to the beach. We pretty much had the beach to ourself until the last day. Was a good time to go. Last week of summer. Very enjoyable and relaxing trip.
