"We loved the design of the villas. It's a beautiful place to be in and the views of the lagoon and the Mayan mountains were wonderful to look at every day. The only complaints we have about the place is the placement of the refrigerator and sink and the garbage by the sink. The bathroom was a little dark too. Otherwise, a lovely stay."

"Our first time back in Belize in 18 years . Umaya was the perfect place. The views over the lagoon towards the Maya mountains are perfect backdrop after a day at the beach and pool. "Authentic hotel to stay at. Beautiful. Note, there is a lot of seaweed so you can’t go in the water. Well you can a little on the left hand side. There are a lot of waves. I saw a couple go to the pier and jumped in for their daily swim. Also, the price for diner or anything you purchase at hotel from spa to food or anything else, it’s US Dollars. The other nearby hotels had Belize prices. I ordered ice cream from Roberts Grove and it was $8 US dollars. Hotel nearby charged. Belize dollars which...

"Spent one night, and it was a great stay! Lovely sightseeing when walking in the Placencia Sidewalk toward the sea! The staff from the office was friendly and gladly showed us where to find Captain Jaks to prepare for the next day’s adventure. I recommend booking the Serenade Hotel as it's affordable and has excellent security. "
