"Only Spent 1 night there so not long to judge but it was clean and had the coffee we needed hot when we certainly needed it. One staff member was helpful the woman that checked us in, but some guy had a comment which we did not appreciate when we requested the coffee after a long drive. I don't know what part he played in the hotel BUT!! That was the only issue we had."

"This house is exactly as advertised. The design of it is perfect for large groups. The kitchen was stocked with every pot, pan and utensil you could need. The host/maintenance team was great. We had a breaker trip twice while using the oven. I sent a message and within 10 minutes received communication back and it was fixed within the hour. I am actually in the process of booking this same property for next year!!! "

"Great hotel to stay in if you're in Altavista or need a place to stay overnight on a road trip. The breakfast has good options...eggs, sausage or bacon, breakfast sandwich, yogurt, toast, biscuits, muffins, danishes, waffle maker, coffee with plain, vanilla or hazelnut creamers...can you tell a good breakfast is important to me!??!?! The room itself is no frills, but the flooring is nice! Not carpet with stains, but a nice kind of engineered wood hybrid with a dark stain finish. The bathroom had nice smooth tile flooring...everything felt clean and spic and span! The bed and pillows were comfortable and I was able to get a good night's sleep both nights we stayed there. All of the staff were excellent. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was a good one. All-in-all, this is a great option for staying in Altavista. Really helped to be close to my dad while visiting him in Autumn Care of Altavista...an excellent nursing home option if needed for your loved one."

"Beautiful home with amazing location and excellent views. Having the ability to bring your boat and dock it right at the house it’s such a huge bonus. The house is immaculate and has everything you would need for whatever you wanted to do. Be that stay in and cook a gourmet meal or just relax and take a break. This is our second stay and everyone has enjoyed it immensely both times. The Host is excellent with communication, friendly and was very helpful with information we had requested. Definitely will be back to this great house!"

"The first room I was given had ants crawling all over the air conditioner unit…nope, not doing that. The desk clerk changed my room and went with me to check on it, it was better until it came time to turn on the TV…unconnected, the remote buttons didn’t work and I went to call the front desk for help, the phone didn’t work either. I walked to the office, the clerk called some staff person to come figure out the TV, but that person never showed up. I called them twice to find out what was happening (I used my cell phone to call the main number) and got no help other than “she’s busy and will get to you” but no. Very annoying!"

"Dirty sheets and towels could see makeup all over them and it felt like sandpaper on your skin. Took the hot water a long time to come on too. "

"Definitely a great time and a great location. The cabin was beautiful and it was hasslefree to check in and check out. There is a minimart and a Italian pizza place up the street."
