The history, culture and Shaker way of life is so interesting and appealing in its simplicity. We visited in April and were excited to meet and0wt the newly born farm animals. We took a tour to hear about daily life in a Shaker Village and then enjoyed a walking trail through woods and meadow and finished off with some delicious ice cream. "Tis a Gift to be Simple, 'Tis a Gift to be Free..." and it's a gift to explore this well-preserved living history museum!

Our host was kind and thoughtful. The house was spacious and comfortable. The house was stocked with all the amenities we needed for an enjoyable stay. The plow service for the driveway was great during the snow storm.
