About this property
1st Connecticut Lakefront Camp - Tell me S'more Please!
Welcome to our camp perched on the shores of 1st Connecticut Lake. Inside has been nicely updated for comfort and amenity while keeping to the original charm and nostalgia of when it was built in the 50's. Walk in to a large landing area and drop all your bags to take in the beautiful views of the lake and mountains. The open concept great room and dining area allows for the entire group to gather and make lifelong Pittsburg memories. The kitchen is a step back in time with original pink Formica countertops, a wall mounted can opener and every kitchen gadget your grandmother most likely ordered from a Fingerhut catalog. We love it this way and hope you do too. There's no dishwasher except for whomever draws the short straw after meals are done. The loons will sing you to sleep in the three bedrooms that sleep 6 comfortably. We've updated all the mattresses and bedding for added comfort and coziness. Walk out onto the expansive deck off the kitchen to grill, watch the sunset and stargaze at night in front of a propane firepit. Walk down to the beach for a day in the lake to kayak, skip rocks, fish, swim or float. In the winter ice fish, downhill tube or take your snow machines out for a day's run. We have kayaks, a SUP, tubes and a canoe for your lake enjoyment. At this moment we do not have a dock, this is on the project list. There is a washer and dryer, wifi, smart TV's (roku's) and cell service for modern amenities. Enjoy, make memories, laugh till you cry and ask us for anything to make your stay in Pittsburg perfect.

Excellent accommodations. Located right on the lake. Easy trail access for snowmobiling. Host was quick to respond and the property was nicely stocked with all the necessities.
Very comfortable property with awesome views. Perfectly located for just about any type of recreation. Great communication with the owner. Highly recommended!!
This cabin has great lake frontage (facing SW), is very well equipped and comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised at how private it was - there was no visibility to/from neighboring properties. There are great places to set up hammocks. We only wish that there was more of a beach.
My Mom, my two daughter and I wanted a girls weekend away before the end of summer and back to school for the kids. We enjoyed the peace and quite and the view off the back porch was gorgeous.
The cablin was in a great location and almost everything you could need. Would have given 5 stars but there was very little propane for the grill and fire pit. It was very clean and well-organized but the back two bedrooms are a little damp. But all in all it was great place to spend time with the family.
This house is lovely! Right away it felt warm, cozy, and welcoming. Lots of seating is available in the living room for everyone to relax. The beds were all comfortable (according to my teenage sons, my husband, and me). We spent a ton of time kayaking on the lake - it's stunning both rain or shine. There are beautiful trails to hike within a very short drive. This is the perfect place for people who want to be surrounded by nature. There are houses nearby, but you can't see your neighbors (or hear them). It rained quite a bit, so we spent a few evenings around the fire, playing games, doing puzzles, and watching movies. On the clear evenings, we all sat on the porch and looked up at the stars. If it wasn't raining, we sat around the propane firepit with a drink or tea. On clear nights there was barely any light pollution (new moon helped) and the Milky Way was just overhead. Gorgeous star gazing. We saw countless shooting stars with the loons singing in the background. This was the perfect nature getaway that we needed. I don't think the photos do the lake justice. It's magnificent! A quick kayak across the lake and you are on a secluded beach that's part of a national park. Nobody but you and the peace and quiet of the day. We would definitely like to come back to this beautiful place. Thank you!!!
Spectacular location right on the First Connecticut Lake. House had everything we needed: comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, kayaks, puzzles and games, grill and sunny deck. Owner was very responsive and friendly. Eould definitely stay here agsin.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed the property, as it was well kept and had everything we needed to enjoy a nice, toasty warm getaway from home! The wood burning stove, spacious and comfortable rooms - along with the incredible view of First Connecticut Lake made for an unforgettable experience!
Stunning views of Lakes and Wildlife - Pittsburg, NH
The view from the house is spectacular, and it's just a short walk to the water where you can launch water toys. You can also enjoy plenty of adorable wildlife, such as deer, loons with their babies, and a moose cow with her calf. Be sure to venture out and explore the area; there are many wonderful places to visit, including East Inlet, Boundary Pond, Terrill Pond, the Magalloway fire tower, and Garfield Falls. Don’t forget to bring your kayak!!!
