Cornerhouse Cottage, a rustic one-bedroom self-catering cottage, built around the 1900 and converted 20 years ago. It retains some of the original features such as open stone walls. Located in the idyllic village of Blair Atholl in the Cairngorms National Park. Walking distance to the Railway Station, intercity bus route, Blair Castle, 2 convenience stores, Golf Club, fishing, restaurant, hotel and pub, many walks of various difficulty. The cottage is close to Killiecrankie, Pitlochry & House of Bruar.
The living-room is equipped with a small dining table and 2 chairs (which would double up as a work station), a wood burning stove, nets of kiln dried wood are available to buy for £8 using an honesty box, kindling and firelighters supplied. There is also an instant electric heater. Electricity is included in the price. A 40" flat screen TV with integrated DVD, a radio/CD player are also available for your entertainment.
The fitted kitchen has all the necessary appliances: electric oven & ceramic hob, fridge, dish washer, washing machine, microwave, iron, ironing board, toaster, Tassimo coffee maker, crockery, cutlery and 2 knee trays and 2 small portable tables are also available for eating in the living room. Starter pack of coffee, tea, sugar and milk is provided. The heater is a modern instant electric.
The white bathroom suite includes a bath and an over bath shower. Towels are provided. There is also a modern instant heater and a heated towel rail.
The bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and a bedside cabinet. A hairdryer is provided, along with bed linen, pillows and quilt. The heater is modern instant electric.
Non-smoking within the cottage, however, there is seating area in the enclosed garden.
There is a small, enclosed garden with table and chairs and a stocked bird feeder for you to observe the wildlife.
Guests have full access to the cottage and garden, the loft is not accessible for guests.
