Spacious and harmonious stone buildings set on hillside with breathtaking views of the Tay velley and mountains in the distance. It is well located for day driving trips to many of Scotland's iconic sites, as well as local interests for more relaxing days. Our host, Stewart could not have been more responsive to any of our questions or needs. He even came to the rescue -- power saw in hand -- to clear a fallen tree from the driveway one morning on our way out. The house was very well looked after, clean and well presented. We loved the stunning view from the windows in the sitting room and the lovely garden. There is a well looked after gas bbq which we used as the weather was great. Plenty spaces for parking. The house is located quite high up the hill with quite a steep walk back up from Grandtully which may be difficult if you’re not too fit, so a car drive back up would be easier. Could do with another fridge to chill drinks etc. but would not put us off by any means. There are a couple of bars/restaurants in Grandtully and would recommend the Inn on The Tay to eat as it also has a nice outside sitting area looking on to the river rapids. The location is great, nature is all around, it’s very peaceful. The cottage is very cosy, very well refurbished. Stewart and Liz have been very kind, they provided us with milk, cereals, eggs, bacon ... for our first breakfast (we really appreciated the gesture), they made sure everything was alright for us, excellent hosts, thank you ! ##### Benjamin L.
