Quiet Mountain
We stayed here over the Easter weekend. The cabin is up on the mountain in a quiet neighborhood. The cabine is just as described. It was very clean and had everything you need to have a relaxing vacation. The owner was very nice and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.

Cozy, private well equipped 2 story cabin in a lovely forested location. Though we didn’t spend much time inside, the area is not far from many trails and scenic waterfalls. About a 20 minute drive to Brevard. Enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay here again.

Amazing Cabin
Our host Sandra was very helpful and welcoming, even had fresh flowers awaiting in the cabin! Perfect size cabin for my husband, myself and our 14 yr old son! The bed was beyond comfortable and cozy which is a huge plus!! Location was great, 35 minutes from Pretty Place Chapel in Greenville, SC and along that route was DuPont State Park, waterfalls, hiking and great scenery. Also was a 2 hr trip to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee which we definitely enjoyed! Highly recommend this perfect cabin!

A quiet retreat
This is the third time that we have stayed in Sandra's home this time of year. It is always such a nice, quiet retreat from the city. It is close to both Brevard and Hendersonville, but we mostly enjoy just sitting by the fire or in the sunroom and don't venture out too much. Communication with Sandra is always nice and easy.

Great house in the woods perfect for relaxing. Spent a couple days hiking and reading. Very neat, super clean, well stocked. Fires in the fireplace were awesome. Brand new charcoal grill for dinner one night. Sandra the owner is available for anything you need. Highly recommend.

Secluded Mountain Top
This cabin is just as it says. It is cozy, very comfortable, very nice furnishings. The sunroom is fabulous for a morning coffee. Conveniently located to Brevard, Hendersonville and Asheville. The owner was quickly available for any questions. We wouldn.t change a thing and will definitely be back. Thanks for making this available.

Great all around
My wife, 1 y/o, and I stayed over the long Thanksgiving weekend, along with our dog. We had a great time. Sandra's cabin is well-stocked and organized. Close to Brevard and lot of trails as well. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and sitting in the sunroom watching the deer. Our son loved the bear statues around the house and even gave the one on the deck a hug when we left lol.

Private, friendly and very confortable house.
Really enjoyed our stay in Brevard with the Fall colors and mountain view’s. Beautiful location that is so clean, confirable and with all the amenities. Sandra does a great job of welcoming people and is very accomadating. Definitely desires the high rating. Strongly recommended if you are in the. regard area.

I liked the place. My recommendation would be to change the queen size mattress in the master bedroom. Very uncomfortable, it gave me back pain. Loved the sun room and the fireplace. It’s 20 minutes from Brevard, it’s on top of a mountain without a view, just lots of trees.

I am very sorry that the mattress was uncomfortable for you. It's very important to me that my quest are comfortable. I'm not sure why it was uncomfortable. That mattress is fairly new. One of my quest a couple of years ago notified me that he had a bad back and requested a new mattress during his stay. I picked out a top of the line mattress and it was delivered that day. He was very appreciative and pleased with my choice. Since then I have had no complaints, but only quest that have told me that the mattress was very comfortable. You are the first to tell me otherwise. I'm sorry if you were excepting a view, but I do not advertise one.

What an adorable cabin! After a mildly steep road up the mountain, the areas around the cabin were flat or slightly rolling which facilitated walking. The cabin had all the basics and many extras, and the owner who lives nearby was extremely accommodating. We enjoyed visiting with her and learning about the area.

MTN Cabin
House is located in an ideal area for hikers and bikers. Dupont Forest, Pisgah, Blue Ridge, Black Mountain are fairly short drives. However if you just want peace and quiet to relax this is the spot. You feel like you are in the middle of the forest. Neighboring homes are at a distance and not visible. Great area for our dog to hang out. We enjoyed having our morning coffee on the porch and after a good hike relaxing by the fireplace. This was our third time stay and we will be returning.

Great place to unplug
Great place to unplug. Quiet and very clean. Host went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Internet worked great when we wanted it. Beautiful setting. The morning we were leaving there were 8-10 deer amongst the pine trees in the yard which made for a pleasant farewell.

Privacy in the woods
The cabin was very clean, roomy and had everything we needed. Beautiful private setting surrounded by woods. It is definitely on top of a mountain with steep winding roads. Close to DuPont and Pisgah Forest.

This cabin and location were exaxtly what i needed to recharge my batteries. If you dont like peace and quiet dont come here. I so enjoyed myself i will definitely be coming back. Very pet friendly as i brought my 2 dogs and they also loved i t!!!

Directions
I suggest you pay attention to the owners directions when you get there. GPS might take you elsewhere. If you see a sign for Jeter Road do not go that way you are in the wrong area. Stop and read the instructions. We had a wonderful time everything was nice the location is unbelievable.

Perfect Getaway!
Beautiful house, twenty minutes from DuPont State Park, yoga and dining in Brevard. It was the perfect space for my husband, one friend, two dogs and myself. We stayed three nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We will be back!

Pure Perfection!
My friend and I - two vintage old broads - have just come off the most relaxing, rejuvenating retreat that we've had in several years, in the loveliest cabin with every possible convenience - and more. The description and photos on the website (which are entirely accurate) are evidence of the host's labor of love in creating the tranquil and comfortable atmosphere we were blessed to enjoy. Our introduction to Ms. Whitaker was a treat - she came barrelling down a trail to meet us with a wheelbarrow load of firewood! A bit later, she arrived with another load to feed that great rock fireplace! Now THAT is the epitome of hospitality and thoughtfulness. She is as warm and welcoming as the haven she has created, and has already thought ahead to provide every amenity of which you have and have not thought. We were free of all labor and stress to just rest and enjoy our reunion, and we did - in the most perfect cabin surrounded by pine needle carpeted woods, evergreen-scented fresh air and sunlight spritzed with a refreshing rainfall. What a paradise we've found! Thank you, Sandra Whitaker, for sharing your treasure with us.

This is our second stay at this wonderful little cabin. So quite and peaceful. Even the deer sleeping right next to the driveway kept quite for us. Wonderful place to just chill and relax. The sunroom is always our favorite spot. Quiet morning with coffee.

We were three over-sixty ladies who wanted a birthday getaway in the mountains with a fireplace and hiking trails nearby. This cabin was perfect. The place is well-kept, clean, warm, cozy, and tastefully decorated with photos, watercolors, and items depicting nature scenes. Sandra could not have been more accommodating as a host. She responded quickly to all our questions and needs. We hiked around the cabin and took a twenty-minute trip to Dupont State Recreation Area for a short walk to a beautiful waterfall. On the last morning, it snowed and delighted us all with the winter wonderland scene. Best of all was sitting around the fire in the fireplace. Honestly, this cabin was exactly what we were looking for. We will definitely want to stay again.

Lovely get-away!!
This gorgeous property was just what my husband and I were looking for—dog-friendly, in a peaceful location with a wood burning fireplace (not gas logs). We enjoyed hiking and seeing the waterfalls in nearby DuPont State Recreational Forest and also exploring nearby Brevard and Hendersonville. Sandra is a lovely host, and we hope to return again soon! Lovely Cabin
This is such a lovely cabin and so private. Only drawback is that there were several dust bunnies on the floor I notice while doing yoga in the sunroom and a lot of cobwebs on lamps and near the windows. Love the showers heads! This is one of our favorite places to stay.

I am shocked that you found cob webs and dust bunnies in the sunroom. Amy always does a superior job cleaning my cabin, and I always check out each room after she leaves to make sure she didn't miss anything. The cabin was extremely clean and there were no dust bunnies or cobwebs at the time.

Cabin get-away
We rented the cabin to get away from people and spend some time in nature. We walked the neighborhood which was quiet and beautiful. We also drove to some trails to hike there too. The host provides info for best places to eat and hike. We booked this last minute and showed up with no plans or ideas what to do in the area but we found lots of gems. We learned from the provided literature the locals are really fond of their white squirrel population. There was good cell phone service, and Wi-Fi available. The host was easy to reach and very kind. We highly recommend this place for anyone looking to unplug, decompress, explore, or spend time with friends and family.

We absolutely loved our Thanksgiving stay at Sandra's place! Gorgeous, quiet setting at the top of the mountain. It was the perfect size for us, very comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. My fave spot was sitting in the sunroom with coffee, laptop or book, and feeling like you were outside and surrounded by the beautiful woods! It was hard to leave for our activities. We went on several walks right from the front door and loved seeing the fall/winter foliage and views throughout the neigborhood. Truly peaceful and relaxing! Sandra was super helpful and available when needed, excellent communication. Thank you Sandra for offering such a special place :).

A Cozy Little Cottage
Highly recommend this property. Sandra was very responsive with any questions that we had. The cottage was in an excellent location and very clean. It is at the top of a mountain so there are some curves with slight inclines, but nothing steep and scary.. It was well equipped with cookware, utensils, detergent, sponges, toilet paper, paper towels, and soap. We would definitely stay here again in the future.
